The Last Of Us

67% through now, loving it. Some nice hard hitting story line along the way and now I've got a few upgrades in the weapons the shoot outs are faster paced and more fun. Pretty much got the measure of the infected now also :)

Shame it's going to end all too soon, I'm not one for replaying games at a harder setting. Might try online though :)

Where do you look to see how far you are through the game? Cheers

62% through so far, loving it and no issues with saves anymore :) taken me about 6hrs to get to where i am. Cant wait to carry on with the story.

The mp is actually really enjoyable. Its a shame there wasn't a bit more effort put into it like more character customization and possible something like state of decay where you can see your survivors and build up a safe zone or something.

Cant really fault the sp though apart from slightly stupid ai. Graphically its stunning and the acting during cut scenes is top notch but didn't expect anything less from nd. Bring on Uncharted 4 :D

Not sure what percentage I am in the game but played for about 6 hours yesterday - actually starting to enjoy the game. Aside from the first 'scene' I found the first couple of hours very, very boring though.

Multiplayer is a lot of fun and is where I'm spending most of my time at the moment.

This arrived this morning:

Quite surprised by how big it is, seems like quite a nicely-made book. Annoyingly I can't really flick through it without potentially spoiling the entire game, so I'll have a proper look when I've completed it.

I'm 89% into the game, don't want it to end.

Playing multiplayer right now, taking it in turns with a friend. It's surprisingly a lot of fun.

I'm looking at getting this coz it looks great from what I've seen but I was wondering what the multiplayer actually consists of?

Is it an open world environment where you can basically play co-op or is it just "deathmatch" type sessions?

Death match type sessions. It's pretty slow paced. Makes a nice change for a console game.

Its not deathmatch, if you play the MP like deathmatch you will not have fun and just die all the time.

You have to sneak around and camp with your team waiting to ambush.

Love this game.

I'm not a console gamer, I've had a PS3 for about 18 months and 99.9% of it's use is for netflix and streaming from my PC. Of the 3 games I own (Uncharted, RDR, FF X???) I've played probably about 5 hours between them.

I've already put about 10-12 hours into this game, though most of that is multiplayer.

If you've not played it, then it's 2 modes of TDM - though I think there are DLCs planned with more modes.

Supply Raid is 'first team to 20 kills' with respawns.
Survivor is round based, first to 4 rounds with no respawns.

It follows on from the single player where ammo is scarce, so no running and gunning.

There are supply boxes around the map that will drop the crafting materials so you can make shivs (only way of stealth killing in MP), bombs, molotovs etc.

Various things like downing players, executing downed players, reviving etc all award Parts that can be spent on extra ammo, weapon upgrades, better weapons and armour.
The Parts you collect are also used in the multiplayer meta game, after each game the parts you collect are converted to supplies to feed your 'clan'. Don't be afraid to not spend the parts though in a game, they are still converted afterwards.

The more parts you get, the more supplies you have in the meta game. The more supplies, the bigger your clan is. The bigger your clan is the more rewards you get, but the bigger your clan is the more supplies you need!

The listening mode is included, but limited as the energy bar for it drains quickly.
You can hide from the listening by not moving.

It's got loadout customisation like COD, weapons and perks.

(can you tell I've played a lot of multiplayer?)

At first I couldn't aim at all as I've spent far too many years playing with a mouse and keyboard, but now with some solid hours under my belt I'm getting better and not so much of a drag on my team :)

Thanks for the feedback on the MP guys!

To be honest this is my biggest fear about getting this game - I'm absolutely rubbish at aiming with a pad after years of keyboard and mouse on the PC!
I'm assuming its pretty vital that you can look, aim & shoot with a bit of speed??

Finally got to play this yesterday after being down the girlfriend's all weekend.

Fantastic game so far and one of the best beginnings I've seen in a game.

Got it for 99p in Game after trading Tomb Raider and Metro Last Light.

Yes you have to sneak around, but it is "deathmatch type" rather than open world which is what was asked.

The multiplayer arenas are relatively small. It's not deathmatch in the sense of Cod, but it's still deathmatch. And a lot of fun it is too.

This isn't a negative post, as I am enjoying TLOU and the graphics are generally superb.... but:

Am I the only one that feels the Tomb Raider devs have been a bit hard done by? The rebooted Tomb Raider seems the better game to me!
