Isn't that the default setting? I have a Sony TV that makes the most of that. I'll double check mine tonight, certainly seems a lot of grey in dark scenes like I have a cheap tv that can't do inky blacks. Haven't had this "problem" in any other games or tv shows/movies etc.

Looking into it it looks like its some bug that only affects a few early levels and the whole downtown chapter. Hopefully they will fix it (the bug was introduced with the latest patch).

Play for a couple hours, up your skill level to gain things like the Clicker Skiv takedown and accumulate some ammo so you dont 'have' to play stealthy. Sometimes its nice to have a good old blast instead of sneaking around all the time. Especially with the shotgun :D

Stick with it, its a cracking game.
 
Yeah, by about half way through you can just run and gun things if you like. I prefer the stealth approach followed by gratuitous shotgunning when things go wrong.

I didn't get to play the multiplayer on the original as my PS3 died a death - having spent the last week on the PS4 version it turns out that it's bloody brilliant! The best multiplayer I've played in a good while infact and, imho, the best vs. on this system by a country mile. It's arguably on par with the single player, which is a very rare things these days.

Not that far in and its getting on my nerves, keep getting spotted then killed by the infected
I have a low tolerance to games lately.. If i cant pick it up in the first hour etc, straight back to the shop it goes lol
 
If you feel like giving up, just lower the difficulty tbh, the game play is good and some bits are just damn creepy... But it's the story line which makes it, you get the same story on every setting.
 
Lad come into work today saying how he put this on last night for the first time, next thing he knows it 3 in morning and mrs as collared him to get in bed.

Couldn't wait to finish work to get back on it.

I really want it now :( might buy a cheap ps3 to play it, much difference between the ps3/ps4 version?

Quite a bit gfx, fps and loading times wise yeah.. But once again it's the same story :p i loved it on ps3 and am enjoying my second play through on ps4. :)

Crouch, move slowly and use bricks / bottles to clear your path so you can find a flanking position which allows you to use the stealth takedown and pick them off one by one. A room full of runners and a clicker can be tough but satisfying.

You haven't picked up the rhythm of the game yet it appears, once you do you can clear encounters pretty quickly.
 
Hey wish i could read through this because i know its probably already in here somewhere

i owned the the of us on ps3 and i own a ps4 ( the last of us has been the best game i have played in the last 10 years hands down

I was curious if like some other games because i already own it on ps3 i can buy it at a discounted price or do i have to pay full whack for the game?
 
Full price but you can get it for 38 quid, and it comes with the left behind dlc which I never played on ps3 so I'm looking forward to that :)
