The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom(use spoiler tags!)

The weapon durability and food mixing needs to go imo. Just makes the game drag out that much more. Big world with hardly any NPC or enemies when running around in hyrule.

I've been playing since monday, and a good 10-15 hours deep.

Anybody else is but im struggling for a sense of direction with the game compared to BOTW anybody else feeling the same?

Not sure if im missing so much did the intro and the start of Hyrule and decided to head for the 1st of the 4 points (Temples) i got to the wind one this morning. Im trying not to engage in mini boss and giant battles as i feel im under equipped ticking of shrines but trying to do the story mode, Should i be trying to battle the one eyed giants etc now?

Getting around hyrule its so hilly and mountainous so find im just running non stop as the horse gets stuck and i cannot for some reason recall the horse, are people building cars/carts from the building materials.
Trying not to google as i dont want spoilers but anybody point me to any info or videos for tips and tricks?
Loving the game so far

I am just wandering around sometimes on foot sometimes on horseback. I am happy to just explore. I have done one boss so far and around 15 shrines.

Anyone tried the mclassic & 4K gamer pro adapters for when plugged in to the TV?
Was watching a stream on twitch the other day and it did look amazing, most of the comments thought it was being run on an emulator. Just wondering if anyone here has had a hands on experience with both of them as I believe you can daisy chain them together

Seems like nonsense, your TV will already upscale if it can. I highly doubt even if the TV sees a 4k signal, it can't change the source image ultimately.

Utilising the falling rocks is so handy. So is landing on floating islands and 'hopping' with the deployable gliders. So many mechanics. You can also build ladders, or even go in caves and then pop up on top of mountains.

Just finished with the tutorial - dang, it was borderline too long honestly. Also, I understand they want to show you alll the mechanics, but I didn’t appreciate dying multiple times due to frozen water / wind

A week now and still not started it because i want to get through the tutorial in 1 sitting and haven't had 3hrs free straight.

The stream I was watching the guy said his monitor was seeing a full 4K signal.

Took out my first big boss, what a slog that was.

Finished the Tulin of Rito Village quest line, one of the 4 towers you get at the start (Wind and blizzard one with the bird people).. It was fun at the start, but eventually just turned into a few hours of jumping, floating and trying to navigate a maze in the air. After an hour or so of that I actually found it very boring.

The eventual boss fight was OK, but nothing really special for all the effort. I hope the other 3 quest towers are better

Can't say I do. Compared to BotW this game offers the player a lot more direction, in my opinion. Of course, it still offers a giant sandbox to play in if that's what you want to engage with, but the story is more front & centre this time.

My used copy from CEX arrived today at around 11am. I've been playing it all day. I have just finished the starting area and saved before I jump down to the full map. It seems fantastic so far.
