Diamonds are worth 500. And one can be found just below hyrule castleUnless you can dupe a valuable thing and sell them on? Like a star fragment?
I wasn't overly fussed for TOTK as I didn't really 'get' BOTW but I had money on my Game account so thought I'd just give it a go (mainly due to FOMO from here and elsewhere!) and I'm glad I did - genuinely can't put it down.
Can't work out exactly what they've done differently but I'm loving it.
Yes I was thinking that yesterday! The ambient sounds are much improved.Agree, the game feels super familiar, but at the same time new and more exciting. I'm only a few hours post introduction, but the world feels more populated, much more detailed, and the sound- particularly the ambient environment sounds are even better than before which is saying something. Overall it feels a bit more "serious" so far, not to mention more difficult. I admit I'm rusty, but where I landed there are plenty of enemies that one-shot me. Must have died 15 times, which honestly feels great as BOTW never really felt dangerous until you encounter the mobile guardians.
Where are the diamonds? No sorry I should have explained. I nabbed a diamond and just duped that. They sell for 500 each.
Nah. One sec. I’ll find the guide I used to find the diamond. Took me two minutes.Where are the diamonds?
Oh so under hyrule castle, how early can you go there? Ain't it surrounded by gloom?
Diamonds can be found in treasure chests and are given as shrine rewards. The first and fastest diamond you can get is under Hyrule Castle within the Royal Hidden Passage cave. You specifically want to enter through the Observation Room, which you can get to without contest early on in the game.
The Observation Room is past the First Gatehouse below the floating Hyrule Castle. Follow the road past the First Gatehouse a little ways (shown below in the map image) then look over the ledge toward Hyrule and you'll spot a balcony below. Glide down and enter to find a room with a guard called Nobiro.
Entirely up to you. I went to the marker in the north west first. Did a few shrines along the way.So I did the tutorial got go the ground. Opened up the first hub.
A lot of dying- trying to raid a fortress, trying to explore a chasm , ended up somewhere south. Died a lot to a cave troll I finally beat.
Felt I was aimlessly running around I went back to the hub and been given some guidance and quests. Should I hang around here and do a few side missions or head to the village they've talked about?
Nice, I have 2 towers left I think, was always my priority with botw to get the full map early on.Finding the enemies hit a lot harder in this game. Using a spear with charge attack is a good way to kill harder enemies I find.
Unlocked all towers last night. Finally my map is complete. Now to explore properly.
Thankfully, dying in this game isn’t punishing at all. I did lol when the map marked my death with a red X and rip textNice, I have 2 towers left I think, was always my priority with botw to get the full map early on.
Definitely a lot more challenging, especially as I've only limited armour sets which aren't upgraded and few hearts. But I'm loving this, even when I've died multiple times.
In botw only Lynels really posed a problem for me, guardians were scary early on but once you have ancient arrows they are done in 1 shot.
Got a gerudo claymore with ganondorf amiibo and then fused it with a diamond and it has 60 attack power.

Any of the goddess statues but yes, AFAIK, you can only expand hearts and stamina via this process. Is going to that statue and giving 4 shrine tokens the only way to upgrade stamina?
