^ and some/most of the best music too.

Yes

Definitely, and totally disproportionately to our size and population too.

Yes

You built the largest empire ever through brutality, inducing famines, disease, war and death numbering in the millions. Many conflicts and political fault lines exist to this day due the intervention and manipulation of British divide and conquer strategies. British history books say how British armies brought "civilization" to other cultures but really it was just a few upper class old boys sending plebs out on to the seas to tear the rest of the world a new one.

Hence why the English are unwelcome in so many countries today.

Ooops sorry wrong thread. Ummm. . .

The Brits can certainly make a good cuppa. Here here.

Speak Irish then.

The Irish in me suspects your last gaelic statement wasn't altogether very polite!

I could say the same to you though couldn't I . . master?

I used to think Britain was powerful but then I read British newspapers like the Mail and the Sun and realized a few dozen immigrants managed decimate the countries finances by outfoxing the British government and claiming welfare.

iirc at that time Ireland was part of the uk.

So shouldn't you be using "we"

Dont believe everything you read Dev2, the British public is hard working and enjoys life, we are not over run by immigrants, their are nice places to live and work in the country, its not all doom and gloom.

Also didn't Ireland suffer badly for the recession, so case of kettle calling the pot black! You got greedy with you new found EU wealth.

As stated the UK has a very good healthcare system. I'd like to add employment law's and employment packages to the list of positives (i.e 20 days holiday per year).

I was poking at the British tendency to moan. The Star and and the Mail are absolute rubbish we have them in Ireland too one of the many not so great gifts Britain has bestowed upon us. I think you have read the post too literally.

Unlike lets say some decent English gifts like Daniel Day Lewis and Shane McGowan.

Right guys not that any of have been taking me seriously but I'm just treating this thread like a sandbox.

Erm

"The man well but it is fool."

You used a online translator, didn't you? Get one of the Scottish fellas to have a crack at it, some of those guys have a smattering of a very similar language.

I have to be up at eight in the morning and it is 2:30 now. I had two hours sleep last night but none of you will believe that.
So, Ladies. I bid you farewell.
