^ The BNP? Are you on crack? :p
We have consistently made the funniest TV comedy in the world for 30-odd years, and nobody has really come close apart from the Irish and they don't really count anyway

^ and some/most of the best music too.

I wholeheartedly agree with both these posts, we really do have some amazingly creative/funny people in the UK.

This country is the best, let down by those who shold be leading it and the minority of individuals across the whole country that would rather live as criminals and make lives a misery for others.

Other than that - we have the best beers, some of the friendlist people in the world, decent places to live and don't forget the stiff upper lip, we won't let anyone mess our days up!

I know I moan on here about what is going on with the country, but would I leave - never.

Tiny island, big heart.

It's very easy to be negative, but GB has brought so much to the world, and is (or certainly was) a country/nation that many countries aspired to, enjoyed knowing about and visiting as well as be impressed by.

I can find many things wrong with France, but similarly I can find many things that trump the negative.

It depends on your outlook.

In spite of it's problems the UK and it's people are fortunate and have a good place to be living in and should consider themselves privileged.

If people thought the UK was that bad it wouldn't still be here. It punches above it's weight globally, which is a testament in itself.

People think that Britain is losing it's identity, it's not, it's rediscovering itself, but it's core will never change, and no one wants it to - the reason why people like it so much is by the way it is!

Vive la Grande Bretagne! :)

Vive la France aussi ;)

Pork pies.

No poisonous/dangerous animals (except adders I suppose).
Dry stone dykes.

For me I Love the Seasons we have here & the rain that makes our Countryside so Gorgeous.
I love that just as you have had enough of the cold it starts warming up & just when you are fed up with the Sun it turns to Autumn/Winter again.
I Love that smell from the Rain you get over here that you don't get anywhere else I've been.
I Love the familiarity of my own country & feel completely at home here, I Don't elsewhere.

Not much more than that apart from the Forests/countryside/Langauge/Education/etc etc etc etc :D

Free health care.
The fact that we can ignore Irish hecklers in the galleries :p

I'm very proud to be English and like Dkore-DeX posted, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Its sad that there's so much animosity towards the English from certain people in Wales, Ireland and Scotland. History is filled to the brim with violence and persecution but the important thing today is that it has stopped. Old grudges are boring, frankly. Its such a shame that we can't all celebrate our joint national identities together!!!

While it is true there are people who genuinely do feel ill will towards the English/Welsh/Scottish/Irish/everyone, I really do believe for most people it is just a "cultural" thing.

It is normal for the Scots to "hate" the English, and for the English to pick on the Welsh...Irish...Scottish...*cough* but not many I feel really mean it.

I may make fun of various indigenous British peoples sometimes, but I honestly don't have a problem. The British talent for taking the **** out of each other and not getting all whiny about it is one of our strengths.
