The Man-Cave

if you go a few feet larger than mine you need permission.

but mines just under. it works on Floor area. & if its a permanent structure.
being wood, you can say it can be dismantled (unlike bricks etc)
Total cost For just the Cabin/wiring/Floor/insulation Around £11k
that's without the contents :p

just quick update

I don't know why you didn't plaster the whole inside including ceilings? Wood paneling has a mad 70s vibe.

You could have used the cavity behind the plasterboard to trunk cables/hide all the wires from PC.

it would crack, wood can move up to a inch in the expansion process :)

How many cores is that SWA? It is far too shallow in the ground mate.

its a metre+ deep now. took bloody ages to dig & then bury it...

removed the pictures of it not to confuse others. had few people say about it., i ran it that way originally to make sure every was correct & in order

What have you done about insurance? Has the cave gone onto building cover and the contents on your home cover?

its on both Contents & building. (separate companies) :

This is pretty epic. Couple of things though.

How come you have a bed? has it replaced your room where you sleep? I would replace it and make a bar and get a ping pong/pool table!

TV. BIGGER, DO IT.

For Guests & for me watching TV like to chill in bed when watching a good film. BUt otherwise back to the house. Unless its really cold!

Bigger TV - looking into 4K TV/Projectors :)

i got no need for it.
main monitor is 2560x1080 with 2x 1080 either side :(

might sell it :D i think its only in the low hundreds power on hours... had it for like 8 months its been off since then

Was going to say. All that floor space and no 5.1 or 7.1. Least he's introduced a subwoofer. Perhaps two? Hope you're getting 5.1 or 7.1 soon…

nah, not a fan of surround sound, for how much its used its not worth it. good decent set of speakers is good enough 95% of the time its music only. most surround sound amps are pretty crap for audio quality. which is the whole point for me. Music :)
