Just a couple of comments
I would have got a few home cinema chairs with built in speakers/rumble pads instead of a sofa. Also not sure how good all the wood is for the acoustics including the floor I would have kitted it out with soundproofing and done a job on the sound ambience and a much bigger main display. I would have made it more of a home cinema experience and hidding the equipment but thats just my personal preference there is too much wood.
Looks more like a lumberjack cave.
I am sure if its to your spec many many hours of enjoyment will be spent in there.
Your man cave is better fitted out than many homes!
Sorry if I missed it but are you running a projector? if not tellys a bit wee small?
Just a question regarding the 24-port switch...
Why does the main line to the cabin run into a 24-port switch then all the devices are then connected through an 8-port switch?
Let me see:18 ports - WOW that is a lot of ports. What have you got that is using all those ports?
Hey there smogsy,
I'm a fan of your cave!
Just wanted to ask if you have considered putting up acoustic foam panels and/or bass traps around the walls/corners to improve room acoustics? I read earlier on that you had some issues with the sound coming from your tv, so this might be a possible solution.
Foam panels can make a big difference by eliminating sound reflections around the room hence removing echoes. You can get a cheap set of foam panels for under £50 (just standard black wedge shaped tiles). Bass traps for the corners cost an extra 40-50ish. High quality or coloured panels will cost more though (probably double that).
Just thought I'd let you know in case it helps.
I'm very jelly, this 'Man Cave' looks very similar to what I was thinking of before clicking on the link in the signature. But why do you need a bed and toilet since this man cave is only like 2-3 meters away from your home, right? Or is it further than that?
How much of your time do you spend in there?
