The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

Numerous reports in the media that half the squad want to leave, the players dislike each other and the manager, the atmosphere couldn't be worse, and everything is going pear shaped.

Shambles.

Was just about to ask if there was any truth behind this, someone sent it in a group chat.

Yeah, they look down in the dumps which is pathetic after a month with the new manager. The pride and work ethic from these players just boggles the mind. It makes so much sense why Ole had such a positive impact when he took over from Mourinho now. These players have the mental fortitude of a fainting goat. Instead of getting their heads down and working they just down tools and mope.

So in that image there is only one Man Utd player, 2 if you include DDG as you can't really dump him in the same group of other players who seem disinterested.

Mmm there are too many random attacking players who all want to be the star...and somehow they all need to work together.

For the past 3 years the individual has been king. Its why Bruno made such a difference. He provided so many of those "moments". Asking them to suddenly be un-selfish and play for the collective seems to be too much for them.

Another one of them rumours where there is no evidence of anything, however it would not be hard to believe.

Could there be too many big egos?

Its a picture so its hard to read too much into that but do those players all look happy, focused and excited to be playing in front of a home crowd. To me they don't.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree. Jones is the only one who looks up for it and subsequently, was up for it. Going on performances during that game, Jones, apart from a few mistakes was probably their best player, DDG aside.

Edit: Im up for a total clear out. Get some young payers in who have no style drilled into them so they can become accustomed to RR new method. get rid of the lot. Even if it takes 2-3 years to get a proper bloody squad together who are not all about image and actually play for the club. I think I might start playing Football manager on Gamepass. Flog the lot and see what I can do with RR tactics lol

I expect it’s down to having someone come in that is wanting them to work hard and drag them out of their comfort zone in terms of training and tactics (or lack thereof) since Ole and most of his staff left.
The behaviour exposes the bad attitude that a lot of the players have that’s for sure.

Also, I expect Ronaldo’s probably ramming his thoughts home a lot and then obviously not really performing himself for 95% of a match then not being dropped, which adds to the consternation.
If the rumours about Maguire whinging are true, that’s rich coming from him…

This all stems from an article in The Mirror though, from I can tell?

Either way, they all deserve a good kick up the backside.

The Mirror, The Sun and the Daily Mail. The exact sources are people who do get leaked information, like David McDonnell. And let's be honest, given the embarrassing attitude of our squad, it's almost certainly true.

Yeah, I’ve looked further and can see it’s coming on Sky Sports too from a Google.

You’re right though, it is pretty hard to deny based off the ***** we’ve seen.

So frustrating.

Bunch of children given preposterous wages and blown smoke up their arses to believe because Man Utd choose them they must be top quality... Nope just an inept club of coaches and recruiters.

Only players of any real quality are DDG, Fernandes and Cavani.

We've got plenty of quality in the team, they just need to put their heads down, do as they are told and work for each other and they will be fine.

We have seen how well they can do in the league simply by being reasonably motivated and being a team of good players. If they applied themselves to becoming a good team then they could actually achieve something.

You're not wrong but I don't think they have that work ethic in the slightest.

We could tell it was bad but this is just ridiculous, we've got a squad of incredibly well paid individuals who, now that their 'mate of a manager' (who gave them a cuddle after a poor result) has left, are unwilling to learn and develop.

It's hard not to believe this and frankly it's a disgrace. An utter disgrace. There should be a high profile clear out. Tell Pogba, Martial, Lingard, Bailly and Henderson to go. Matic and Mata are professionals and can go at the end of the season. Write off this season and bring through some younger players who are hungry. The only players I trust are DeGea, Varane, McTominay, Greenwood, Cavani, Ronaldo.
Jury out on Shaw, Maguire, AWB, Fred and Fernandes. Rashford I think might be ok.
You need players with a growth attitude and I don't see enough of it. Gary Neville said months ago they can't be trusted. The board need to back Rangnick 100% and put football first instead of Instagram likes. It's embarrassing.

Sky have been 'briefed' by the lazy players now too. God forbid the poor little darlings are being asked to work harder.

Some Manchester United players in doubt over Ralf Rangnick's suitability to be Old Trafford boss

There are cliques within the Manchester United dressing room, a source has told Sky Sports News

Some Manchester United players are struggling to adapt to interim manager Ralf Rangnick's methods and doubt whether he is the right man to be in charge at Old Trafford.

There are cliques within the United dressing room, a source has told Sky Sports News, adding that some of the players are finding it difficult to play in Rangnick's 4-2-2-2 formation.

Another source has told Sky Sports News that "they have the players at Manchester United who are ready to play, but they don't have the coach to get the best out of those players".
