Until mid-2026 I think!
The similarities to the end of Rodgers at Liverpool are uncanny. Had a disaster of a season, all his coaches get sacked in the summer and replaced with club men, including an ex-player and then they're all out of a job come October when they change manager. Fingers crossed that's where the similarities end.

Jelle was pinched from Ajax only to be gone within a few months. Awkward. Not sure if it was coincidence, but Onana seemed pretty solid since his arrival.

RvN gone.

Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have also departed and we wish them all well for the future.

For the best, I think. Hope he gets a decent job elsewhere as the #1.
RvN wasn't a surprise really. Brought in by EtH and takes up a coaching space that Ruben would want to fill with his own people. The other backroom coaches for EtH were always going to go anyway. I think Ruud's improved his chances of getting a good managerial/head coach position somewhere else.

I would have said it wasn't a good idea for Ruud to stick around. Neither for club or Ruud himself.
Totally agree. At least he gets 20 months money for doing nothing and he's only enhanced his reputation. Clean slate required. Did the goalie coach leave also? Onana has looked half decent since he arrived!!

I remember when Moyes took over and brought his own coaching staff. He obviously wanted to mould the team in his own way. The problem was he sacked a very successful and experienced coaching team who knew about winning. The rest is history best forgotten.

The difference now is RvN was part of the coaching team who are responsible for the worst Man Utd team in recent memory. And that’s a low bar. No way the new manager keeps him on for sentimental reasons. They need a reset and RvN is not part of that. Two wins against a poor Leicester team, a draw at home against a half decent Chelsea and a win against some nobodies in Europe. It’s OK, nothing special.

Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Yep, you give the new manager the best chance of success and having his own team around him without external voices getting involves is probably for the best. Ruud did the best job you could hope for for the few games he managed but there is no real reason to keep him knocking about.

Getting in a new manager after 4 good games from Ruud and entering an International break is like getting the kids ready for school and having some quality gaming time on your own, only to find out its Inset day.

RvN will pop up in one of those pub quiz questions like "Name a Man Utd manager who never lost a game"
