Yeah I did wonder if you could actually class it as trolling. Fair enough, laugh away I guess.

However, I wouldn't say the whole fanbase thought INEOS were going to bring back the good times. There's been many new owners who can't turn clubs around. There was a large portion who preferred Jassim at the time.

Its still very early days, and the tabloids do like to get their knives out at any opportunity, and C Kent it would appear ;)

I wish I got an Xmas bonus.

He’s not doing himself any favours is he. I wonder what it’ll be tomorrow.

I can’t imagine many people even get that in other companies. I certainly haven’t seen Christmas bonuses/gifts in the blue chip places where I’ve worked before, besides bonuses and performance-related bonuses, so…

I have no issue with the reduction of bonuses, if a new owner comes into an ailing business, these are the sort of things you'd expect.

However, football is a bit different, and against the backdrop of mediocre players earning huge sums of money, this penny pinching is going to leave a sour taste around the club.

The bread and butter employees seem to be bearing the brunt of cost saving measures - the optics are just all over the place. It's the same with ticket prices, fans are suffering, while players and executives like Ashworth are being paid millions.

I am not surprised this is happening though. He was framed as a 'local lad' but Ratcliffe is an utterly ruthless business magnate, this isn't really a surprise.

I think Adam Crafton of The Athletic summed it up - "Just struggle to believe the scratching around at the edges on so many of these petty cuts can be worth in savings what they erode in goodwill"

Indeed, but contracts are contracts. I’m sure if they could tear them up and cut their wages by 50% they would have by now. I totally think the optics are awful, when put against that context and considering the mistakes with ETH, Ashworth, etc, but also there’s the usual negative narrative spinning for Utd anyway.

I thought the purpose of a bonus was you got it because the company did well. Otherwise you got nothing. The staff getting a reduction in a bonus should take aim at the players.

As for the workers bearing the brunt of it. That is par for the course in every corporate environment. The lowest always gets pooed on first. Nothing changes there.

I dont disagree with a lot of what hes doing tbh BUT to slash christmas bonuses of staff is a bit harsh...

Ai because its definitely comparable with working for a corporate company isnt it lol. I dont see what Dave in Reception can do to improve Rashfords form tbh.
