Correct. At least twice in the past few days you've commented on how nobody can compete with City's oil money or words to that effect. That is simply untrue! Utd have been spending more money than City.

The reason why Utd haven't been able to (or can't) compete with City is not because of finances but because City have a far better manager and structure behind him. When they've spent and they've spent a lot, more than any other club except Utd in fact, they've got better value both in terms of resell value when that player has moved on and contribution to their side.

Man Utd have not spent more money than City.

Who are these ******** teams in the league we're getting outplayed by?

I can’t remember the exact teams. I just remember watching a lot of games this season and thinking “wow, they move the ball better than we do, have a better shape than us and look better coached”. I have thought that A LOT this season and against a lot of teams that will be in the bottom half of the table.

Only one I can think of might be Brighton but that was because we weren't match fit by a long way because of the lack of preseason, and we still won. Only other one that tried to outplay us iirc was Leeds and we thrashed them.

Hey look, we only score from counter attacks ;)

Have people been saying we score most of our goals counterattacking? Plenty of us have been saying that we play best on the counter which we do. Any team with half a brain doesn’t set up to allow us to do that.

Also, according to that, no one really scores counterattacking goals in any quantity. I’m questioning their definition of one.

Most people say that we struggle to break teams down through team play and that we rely on individuals to unlock defences rather than rehearsed movement and passages of play like City do.

Thing is, the top clubs with big budgets, wages etc should invariably be better man for man than their opponents in virtually every position on the pitch.

Therefore better able to play good passing football and be able to create good quality scoring chances without relying upon counter attacking play styles.

I don't think we've had/scored a penalty since before Christmas? There was a lot of whinging about the amount of pens we had nearer the start of the season though - 3 in one game vs man city :D

Yeah Klopp came out and had a whinge that wasn't a whinge because he doesn't talk about other teams and we have barely seen a sniff of a penalty since despite there being a number of obvious ones that should have been given.

Harry Maguire's hacked fez's account :p And planty is talking about Leicester not getting many/any pens since Xmas, not Utd.

The same place Brighton's and all the other sides that have been denied penalties for fouls by Harry Maguire.

Welbeck tripped over him just as much while trying to get a shot off.

Paul Pogba was denied a penalty earlier in the season for exactly the same thing. It was even worse because it took his boot off!
