So roughly 100 shaves a year. Four years, 400 shaves.Yep, I only shave twice a week
400/26 = around 15 shaves per blade?
That's pretty good going, I'm pushing mine out to four or five shaves per blade now.

Ahh thatll work then lol.
Love the Proraso Pre, use a lot less of it than you think you need and it should last years, really made a huge difference leaving it on for a few mins before shaving.
I'll say it again.. every time...the biggest thing on your first few shaves..and keep saying it to yourself...NO..PRESSURE ON THE BLADE.....easily the biggest mistake I made when I started all of this.
Literally the weight of the handle on your face and thats it.
Damn you
I've nearly finished one of my tubs of ToBS Shaving Shop and it's totally irrelevant that I've got about 15 other tubs of various different creams on the side!
Sorry, I was meant to mention already have a soap bowl and brush, they are cheap ones I will upgrade later!
Might try some Floid aftershave.
Why do we all do this? We bleat about DE shaving being more cost effective, then we get it in our heads that we have to buy all the expensive kit to get the best shave possible. I'm just as guilty for this. However, I'm sure your "cheap" bowl and brush will be just as effective and you may find the more expensive ones will not gain you much for the money. I've stuck to a cheap brush and I'm using a little pet food bowl to lather up in heh! I would splash out on a really nice expensive brush like some of the others here have, but I can't justify it when I have more important things to consider in life right now (BUYING A HOUSE FOR ONE!).
Floid aftershaves are nice (Floid Black is different to the others, more of a cologne smell wise).
Speick & Proraso aftershave splashes are both very good as well.
I've still got so many to try! I've tried my Merkur and have just popped in a Derby. Feather next, I think!
