Not sure I'd look at this, but I think I'm in since it offers both RT and DLSS support.

https://wccftech.com/the-medium-interview-bloober-team-on-exclusivity-ray-tracing-support/

Among other things, we learned more about the ray tracing features that will be in the game, and we also got confirmation of NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super-Sampling) support on PC.

Which ray tracing features will be available in The Medium? Are there any technical differences between the various versions in this and other regards (resolution, frame rate, etc.?)

We have two supported ray tracing modes for The Medium - Performance Mode that has enabled reflections and RTAO in all performant location (when only one word is rendered), and Quality Mode, which features reflections, RTAO, hybrid translucent, and some RT shadows enabled for the whole game world. The latter is paired with DLSS and some other Nvidia improvements but requires a lot of hardware power.

Why did you decide to make The Medium an Xbox Series console exclusive at launch? Can you divulge the length of the exclusivity window period and once that's finished, do you have plans for other platforms?

It was an outcome from our relationship with Microsoft, the hardware we needed to bring our vision to life, and also how our development process aligned with Microsoft's plans for its new generation of consoles. The bottom line is that we’re really excited to be launching The Medium as one of the first Xbox Series X|S titles.

The game is coming to Xbox and PC in January, and we’re not currently concentrating on any other platforms.

Hits Steam on the 28th of January - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1293160/The_Medium/

Getting a game you probably won't like because it has RT and DLSS. I thought we bought games because we liked the game play and good graphics were a bonus. Worlds definitely gone to crap :D:D:D:D:D

Yeah it looks like some people are reacting like Pavlov's dog, if they read about RT and DLSS.

Read the op and come back when you comprehend lol. It's not me that probably won't like the game far from it. The ops first sentence might give you a clue as to my original post.

'not sure I'd look at this' != 'probably won't like'

Included with Gamepass PC and can preinstall now.

Does not look very interesting, but if the graphics are nice I will give it a go.

:D:D:D:D games are going to be optimised for consoles.

Thats a classic right there....as long as it has rage mode i am cool with that.
Speaking of rage mode, remember that time you easily dispatched a £600 reference 6800 XT in Forza with your 3090?

Matt and his beastly 6800xt computer dispatched all under 300W

Wait...wait. Lets put some context out. 3090FE and bog standard 5600X CPU and my min framerate was still better than your reference 6800xt with a 5950X CPU,
And on par with 6900XT, wot.:o

Those scores just put into context how bad 6900xt really is, and how decent 6800xt is, you only pulled 5% from 6800xt to 6900xt.

Thats at 1440p, at 4K you would get such a spanking lets be honest.

AMD is simply pathetic, since launch they've done nothing! Meanwhile Nvidia's getting games left & right to run better on their hardware and AMD is still at the "well we've added a sharpening filter in the control panel, now what?" phase of 2 years ago.

There is no CPU limit at 1440P, you'll need a better excuse for the poor showing of your GPU costing almost three times as much. :)

LOL, on par with Nvidia's performance, they have the fastest cpu's, 5 Million+ Zen2 cores sold worldwide in a 4 week period, they are the undisputed heavyweight champs of AAA gaming!:p

Doesn't really matter for the 3080 and 3090, they have more compute cores than most games can use at lower resolutions - by running at higher resolution it puts more load onto those cores.

The way of the future hopefully, developers want to play with the most technically advanced PC features so it makes sense to build in DLSS and RT
