+1 for Volbeat, I only discovered them last week when I went to see them at the Fortarock Festival. I also saw Delain and Audrey Horne for the first time and am getting into them all!!

The length of the song might put a few people off, but it's well worth a listen!

Been into Fates Warning for a couple of years now, definitely one of the best Progressive Metal bands to come from America. Also give The Ivory Gates Of Dreams from the No Exit album a listen, it's brilliant :)

The band that got me into male-fronted prog metal.

In fact, this album. In fact, THIS SONG!

Sincerely. Watch their Live at Athens DVD too. Ah go on, I'll help.

I found the new Alice in chains good but a little dull. The new megadeth album is crap thou...

Megadeth are still going?! Blimey! I think the last album of theirs I bought was Rust In Peace

I did buy Testament's new album Dark Roots Of Earth. It's a bit rubbish really. It's nowhere near as good as Demonic or The Gathering.

And I know i'm a bit late coming into this thread :p

Soil - Scars.
Mudvayne - L.D.50.
Stone Sour - S/T is easily their best album.
36 Crazyfists - A Snow Capped Romance. Cracking album.
Static-X - Machine.
Shadows Fall - The Art of Balance.
Skinlab - Revolting Room. Fantastic album.
Five Pointe 0 - Untitled.
Dry Kill Logic - The Darker Side of Nonsense.

Had a quick look at some songs by all that lot on Youtube.
I quite like Soil and Static-X. Think I'll get some of their albums.
And the video for Static-X - I'm With Stupid is one of the best music videos I've ever seen! :D

Never heard of them til now but their sound is just what I like :)

Went to this last weekend, was super awesome :) Some highlights for me were Cambion, Monuments, Veil of Maya, Mask of Judas and Tesseract. I'd really suggest giving them a listen if you're into tech metal. And even if you're not :D

Edit: and Heart of a Coward!

I have one of Monuments' demo on CD from a few years ago, hows the new vocalist? i feel bad for them cause they've always been unfortunate with singers, Tesseract also!
