Just bought the new Mastodon album and am really enjoying it.

Me too, think its great - has made me listen to their other albums too. Really great band.

Are you after modern metal or older stuff? As Anthrax (80's/90's) might be worth a try.

Nightwish at their best, everything I want in a song. To me this is, well, perfection. Play loud I'll make no bones about it I'm a Nightwish (tarja era) nut.

Nightwish again, I love this track as it starts very soft, and slowly builds through a hard rock and then piles in with driving double bass peddles at the end of the song. Great music writing. If you like melodic/fantasy inspired metal this is one to check out (HD):

Anyone here a fan of Darkthrone? I'm generally a fan of Black Metal but a lot of the bands can be quite OTT, Darkthrone on the other hand are more understated in my opinion.
