Saw Sabaton and Dragonforce last night down in Folkestone. DF were poor alas, which I put down to a first-nighter but Sabaton were awesome. Good levels and really connected with the crows

Good to know, Im seeing them in Cambridge in a couple of weeks.

Just to ask though, with Dragonforce did they stick to the newer rubbish or did they play a more varied setlist covering the older material, like I'd heard they were going to be?

Glamour for the Kill shall be my excuse to get a drink methinks.

I much prefer the older albums to the last 2!

Sylosis were indeed also awesome, never the less Sabaton won hands down! If that's what DF are normally like live then it's a disappointment, although not the first or the last band that make good music in the studio but can't put it together on the stage :(

They played FTFATF, Valley of the damned, Sonic Firestorm and Revolution Deathsquad I think, other than that a mix of new/old. To be honest I couldn't concentrate properly by this time as there was a family there which were insisting on ruining every bodies time but barging everybody out the way to get to the front and coming --> <-- close to starting a fight with everybody and I had to look after my little bro.

Been listening to some early Iron Maiden (the first two albums). I still think it sounds completely different to the Dickinson era stuff. Especially this track (which is possibly my favourite Maiden song):

Sounds a lot more Punk (which obviously it isn't, it's still Metal, but has a very Punk feel to it), Di'Anno was pretty awesome actually, very underrated as their singer. He kinda dissappeared after that, still plays music but he's not really big which is suprising.

Yeah, Dickinson is awesome and definitely the best singer (of course), but I was just saying that Di'Anno often gets overlooked and doesn't really get the recognition he deserves in my opinion.

Lol in the first video I'm damn sure he mentions "Mah Lazor" :D Swashbuckle awesome :D

Was going to give people a rest (at least for one page) from my 'input'! Interesting, combining classical and metal.. not sure they pull it off as it just feels like a cut'n'shut, perhaps it would have blended better with a real orchestra:

Liking this a load:

(Slayer but the vid is great :D)
