Love 'em or hate 'em, Manowar certainly know how to stir a crowd! Love this video, the audience are phenomenal.

I realize many Rock/metal fans see Manowar as a parody and a joke and i'll probably get slaughtered for putting them in here amongst all the technical,muso style metal, but when you see beyond their cheesy/tongue in cheek style, Manowar have song writing and musical ability in abundance, sometimes a simple riff and a great melody is all you need.;)

 
Another band who kept it simple but no less effective for it. Not a very heavy song musically,thematically though very heavy and dark. Haunting stuff and just a great song regardless of categories, genres and all the other bull****.

 
I just found this song from that metal map thing. It's like a load of Final Fantasy characters came alive and rocked the **** out. :D

Always been a fan of their first album Void and have recently been listening to Prehistoricisms and Valley of Smoke which are just as amazing. Their bass and drums puts most other metal bands to shame in my opinion, makes everything else sound dull and repetitive.
 

That guitar riff and drumming pairing is fantastic (1:20+).. I didn't like the album initially but it's grown on me a load. It's a pity that the sound quality of the youtube doesn't do the song justice, the album's guitars work far better for some reason.

I found this band when I was looking through youtube. I quite like them. I bought their album from amazon, it's nice an consistent. Strangely the lead singer sounds some what like Chester Bennington

Quite like that! Was initially thinking sounds like Lamb of God and couldn't hear any Chester Bennington :p I like the take on the riff in the middle too, utilises the harmonic scale well
