The Ncase M1 thread

The window kit situation is all a bit odd really. Wahaha360 (one of the creators of Ncase) is developing a glass side panel kit for the M1. But it's slow progress as he's busy with other stuff; the original release date for the kit was Q4 2019. There is currently no release date for the side panel as Wahaha hasn't provided any updates for months.

The M1 won't be shipping with the glass side panel when it eventually launches. And the kit won't be sold on ncases.com. Instead, it'll be sold on Wahaha360's own site w360mod.com.

It's the situation over the glass side that stopped me from ordering. It should be an option from the factory. Failing that, it should be possible to order one at the same time as the case, and from the same source. The way they've done things, the M1 with a glass side panel will cost around £300 after shipping, taxes, and fees. That's too much.

The alternative is to go DIY. Here's a guide:

One thing I like about the NCASE is the fact that there's room to sandwich fans between the bottom and the graphics card. For those who are going for the DA2 instead, do you reckon side-mounted fans (and the single rear fan) are sufficient for cooling the system? I'm building a 3700X / 5700xt ITX build right now and I've been seriously consdering the NCASE because it'll fit everything and provide the cooling I want.

Mine just got released from UK customs so i should have the card through my door on Friday, get that paid and have the case by Saturday i hope.

Really looking forward to building in it.

Cooler (C14S) arrived on Sunday so I have everything built up, just waiting on the actual case arriving now. Mine hasn't been released from customs yet - had no updates from boxing day.

Rather annoyingly, the slim 120mm Chromax fans have gone out of stock everywhere in Europe.

Maybe get the Brown ones then sell when they are back in stock?, i'll be doing that with my normal 120's.

Damn so it's guaranteed to be hit by customs

More than likely to be given a charge. I imagine a few slip through but I'd factor it into the overall cost.

Yeah I may have to. Noctua have said that they don't expect new stock until the end of January.
