The New Cases Gallery

Gothic, Its 6mm conduit. i got this off of ebay very cheap £3 for about 5 M there is other stuff on there but i found the 6mm fits best and doesnt take up too much room.

Devrij, Yea its a really good cooler, i have the fan turned down so i doesnt really make that much noise well not any that i can hear over the other fans, Silenx fans are great too quiet and very good air flow with them.

I guess I can post a few update pictures now where the graphicscards have changed.
I planned to do some cable-management but it turned out not to be possible in ways I had anticipated, so I kinda went back to "how it was and worked". I would have placed the 8pin atx cable flush with the motherboard and the graphicscards on top, but the cable is so thick that the graphicscard can't be seated in the PCI-E slots... *sigh*. Also it turned out that since I need 4x 6pin for the cards 2 of the 6pins were extensions on the 8pin cables, so still all 6 cables had to be used... again a *sigh*. Well at least I got them tugged away and the 8pin atx cable I manged to rest on the 120mm fans right side and clenched there. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1500w has just massive cables and is cleary more suited for the likes of the HAF922 case whereas my Silent Pro M1000 would make a much better fit in the CM690... but I didn't bother to change PSU's.

Some serious cable management needed in there, nice spec though. :p

Just wondering from your sig, why two PCs that are so similar in spec level?

You did notice that he is running two of the nvidia 4xx series in SLI haven't you? :p

Well the GTX470 actually uses less wattage than the GTX280 ;)

As for cable management I need either another case or a PSU with lesser thick cables. As mentioned in my other previous post (also on side 122) the Tt cables er so thick that you can't run them all through the back, there simply isn't enough room clearance so you can attach the sidepanel. I had to flatten the motherboard 24pin atx cable just so that at least could be placed behind.
Anyhow as long as the airflow isn't obstructed it doesn't matter that the main pci-e cables are at the bottom around the little 80mm fan. The 2 x 120mm fans in front "tandem" pull in air as does the sideplan fan, and yet again also a 120mm fan i placed in the 5'25 drivebays.

As for the similar specs for the PC. Well I've always had to rig's, and I can't have one than clearly faster than the other :D Also I like to be able to do quite objective critiques/evaluations on nVidia/ATi products without being called "fanboy" (a highly popular term used but a lot of ignorants IMO), for siding with one particular brand/manufacturer... I'm the "ultimate fanboy" - I get both :cool:
I'm extremely interested in testing out graphicscards and the list of cards I've had counts near 90 (going back from 96 till today - all brands, 3dfx, nvidia, ati, kyro, sis, s3).
I've kept some favorites also.

Nice Lian Li mod there gronbek

Is that a PC-60 ? I've just inherited a couple of the PC-70 full tower cases from work now we have moved to rack mounted servers, so looking at modding at least one of them.

Thanks :) I think its a PC60, cant remember long time ago I built the machine.

Got me a nice flow of air from the top front fan that I installed myself(not fittet originally) through the CPU and out the back.

6 silverstone fans running at 1100-1200 RPM. Overall very quiet. Most noise coming from alu chassis plates vibration during HD activity.

That's the bloody card that put me off ATi for life!!!

I hated that thing so much, had to use one driver to play one game and another set to play the other games I was playing at the time, a real PITA

Love those red braided cables!
They look the business

Fairly sure your HSF is the wrong orientation though, shouldn't it exhaust? Or is there a top mounted fan?

He's got an AMD processor so he hasn't got much choice. They only mount one way. I agree, those red braided cables look really amazing.
