The New Cases Gallery

My first new build in 5 years. Tried to get it as tidy as possible, and my pitiful attempt at cable braiding. Much respect to you guys that get it perfect, its much harder than it sounds.

cheers to every one that helped with the spec to.

Surely you would want your HSF pointing towards the rear exhaust to maintain the front to back airflow?

Looks nice though man :)

Its a freezer 7 pro rev2, it probably touches the RAM with it's fan the other way around ;) What I can't get over is why some HSF are made so they get in the way of the RAM

On AMD sockets you can only mount the freezer 7 facing up or down.
On INTEL sockets you can only mount it facing back or front.

It works out pretty well though as the PSU sucks up all the hot air and spits it out the back of the case.

Coolermaster Elite 360

I recently bought a Coolermaster Elite 360 to downsize from an Antec solo for my parents machine.

It is indeed very small and a lot smaller and lighter than the Antec solo. It hasn't got the quality of the Solo but it was 1/3 of the price. Here are some pics:

The best part is, it takes a full size ATX motherboard (Asus P4C800-E in the internal pic). My only gripe was the external 3.5" drive bay does not accomodate card readers, I had to glue (araldite) the plastic drive rails on carefully to the side of the card reader in order to mount it.

It definitely wouldn't touch the ram, its pretty much square shape, maybe a bit wider the deep. If you want good cooling you've got to have a big heatsink, that freezer pro is a little puppy compared to some of the big dogs.

Tring to keep tidy, but the cables are so complicated. I'm waiting the thermal paste to finish. What do you think guys?!?!

How was more than year ago.

I have this case too and Dieing to fit an LED side fan, but I have a large CPU cooler similar to yours that seems to be in the way! I can only get the side of the case on if I have the cooler exhausting out the top...
Did you have any problems?
I've concidered snapping off the 'clips' for the fan (I assume the fixings would hold it well enough), is that a good idea?

Cheers,
Howie.

Sorry mate, only just seen your post!

To get the side fan to fit I dremeled (Well, it ended up melting haha) one of the corners of the fan off, fits perfectly now.
