The New Cases Gallery

Just done a quick check and for everything, including a 30" Dell, 7.1 speakers, router etc:

Idle: 507w
Load (Vantage): 760w

No 'power saving' features were enabled during the quick test so I would expect that figure to drop a little more.

Not bad at all really. I was expecting a bit more, especially when the monitor consumes between 147w and 188w!

Added a set of Lian Li vented drive bay covers to my A70F, not sure wether to stick with them or go back to the solid ones.

Hi,

Finally finished my Corsair 700D build.

Im not sure how to upload pics to the thread so here is a link to a small album of pics.

http://yfrog.com/4vp1020053ojx

In the pics it looks like the leds are more blue than purple, but they are purple and dont resemble blue in real life. I have put purple leds in my reservoir, pump top, cpu block, and a purple led strip along the side of the hard drives and top radiator. I have also replaced two of the stock fans (the top 140mm and the 140mm near the psu) with purple led xigmatek fans.
Sadly the memory cooler spoils the theme as it has blue leds and i cant change them to purple, although i havent 100% commited myself to doing this. So to balance things out i put uv blue coils around my tubing so it would glow and match the memory cooler leds.
I also removed the bottom hard drive cage and installed a 120.2 radiator.
Another little mod i made was to have a window cut on the side panel, i used two way mirror acrylic. Looks really good, better than i hoped.

This is the first time i spent some time with the asthetics of a build, and have to say i enjoyed it a lot. Now its finished (been an on going 12 month project) i feel very happy with the result and sad that i am going to wait a while till i think about doing another build. Cant wait for another project time :D

Phil.

If you ment my temps then i have to say i havnt really stressed it yet as had Trouble with getting it to see all 6 gigs of memory. After much reading on forums i solved it by settimg XMP profiles in bios.

Will post temps when i have time to stress it a bit.

killem, that looks great can you post a pic with everything plugged in, the orientation is the only thing stopping me getting one.

Also would you be able to fit a 140.3 rad in the bottom? (i will be using a Matx board)

Thanks for positive replys. Was aiming for good looks with this build.

Dont think it will cope with 140.3 as comes with bracket for 120.3 only.

As for picks with it plugged in i dont know as room is so messy at moment :D

Will try to do some tomorrow for you.

reeceLAV in reply to your question about temps.

average cpu temps at stock im seeing 30-36 c across the 4 cores. 1 core seems a few degrees hoter than others so may check thermal paste coverage.

After blend test with prime95 with all cores under 100% load for 20 mins im seeing 58-63 c

This is with the 3 bottom fans on lowest setting.

Wow, If I were to upgrade my case I would want the red silverstone now for sure!

Hmmmm, but Im not keen on having the PSU above the CPU like that anymore :(
