Ok... Finally found a spare hour to transfer my rig from my P182 into my HAF 932 last night so here's a couple of (really poor quality) pics - no flash on my phone (not an iphone, just a phone lol) so it didn't like the artififial light much!
Here's a quick reminder of what it all looked like in the 182:
I knew there was a fan in front of the centre HDD rack, but when I took it apart last night I found that it was a Noctua NF-S12B so I swapped that with the generic pants fan on my Ultra 120
I dunno how most of you go about things when you're doing a case swap/install but all my innards just ended up piled up on the table LOL
Got the PSU and MOBO in - the MOBO feels SO small in this case - there's so much space to work with around it, it's crazy lol
Nothing much to say with this pic, just slapped the 4770 and Audigy back in... the tool-less design on the PCI brackets is fine in theory, but it doesn't hold the cards still and I found that quite annoying and somewhat unnerving
Routed the PSU and SATA cables as best I could but I found that this case isn't as good for cable management as the P182 as it is so much deeper front-to-back, so the cables always have a long way to travel no matter which way you try to route them
Anyway - that's my new case
it's so much quieter than the P182 as I had 6 120mm fans inside there and it did sound quite loud... The HAF with just the 3 220mm and one 140mm (plus the 120mm cpu fan) is so much quieter
plus my idle temps have dropped from Core 1 @ 48c / Core 2 @ 42c to Core 1 @ 39c / Core 2 @ 32c - now this could be a combination of the case plus the different fan on the HSF but either way, I'm happy with a 10c temp drop!!!
