The New Cases Gallery

I know I need a new case since I can't do much with cable management of the PCI-E cables since there's no cut outs for taking them through the back and around.

I dread to think how loud that is!

I dont understand why the video card manufacturers insist to install the PCIe connectors to the side of the video card instead to arrange the connectors pointing to the front of the case, the video card below (Asus HD5870) have better look with flush side and the PCIe connectors pointing to the front

Yeah, but it lengthens the card a bit putting it on the rear. I'm guessing you have removable HDD cages and one should've gone infront of the card. If they weren't removable that would've been a tight fit.

It's acceptable to me since I only use the PC for gaming purposes then I don't need absolute silence. I use one of my laptop for general desktop desktop work etc.
But yes if I turn the 120x30mm case side fan op to 1920RPM on the Zalman controller it can compete with a BAe Harrier Gr.9 in vertical take off :D

Was it really worth going from 3 way 580's to 3 way 670's?

Well setting performance side by side then in effect it's the same as upgrading from a single GTX 580 to a single GTX 670 ~ about 20% performance increase, but in all fairness no I don't think it was worth it.

The same would be true when saying that upgrading my old system from Intel Core i7 870 + P55 board + 16GB 1333Mhz cl9 + 3x GTX 580 to Intel Core i7 3820 + Intel X79 + 16GB 1600Mhz cl8 3x GTX 580 that didn't gave much more than 15~20% boost either.

However it was the upgrade itch that took over since I hadn't upgraded anything in the PC since late 2010.
The overall upgrade has given me around 35~40% performance increase.

At least I had made it clear to me that next upgrade won't happen until early 2015 since the performance gains are not that big.

If you had over kill in mind...........then yeah. lol

Planning to get a 27" 2560x1440 around christmas.
Used to have a 30" 2560x1600 but it died and couldn't be fixed. Got a refund but never found a satisfactory screen with IPS panel and decent gaming capabilities.

I detest them facing the front of the case. It's brutal on the fingers to loosen them. It's much easier on the side. No wrecked fingers.

Not the best camera in the world but here's my case, not as good as most cases on here but as great as watercooling looks, I can't really justify the price:

My ghetto DIY graphics card exhaust fan mod. My security cable locking my computer to my desk can be seen here, just in case any of you were looking to steal it :)

Nice new Samsung 830 here, I do have a spare slot in the HDD cage but since it looks so nice, I thought it would be a shame to have it hidden away :p

This one shows up the dust on the top of the PSU quite nicely..

This is my recent build using the Storm Enforcer. Great case, wish I had a modular PSU, the side panel where the cables are hidden has a slight bulge and took a bit of force to get on.

Spent a good amount of time getting the cables as tidy as I could, think I done a decent job
