The New Cases Gallery

yes it can go in either :D

sorry to confuse you, jsut looks odd, hehe, the usual set up is using the top slotl but this way the heat form the northbrige is not added to the card and vice-verca, so good idea :)

I had problems (and still have the odd one) on the setup so when I didn't know what the prob was (eventually the heatsink) I found it awkward getting access to the lower latch of the ram slots so put the card in the lower slot while switching bits about ......think I've confused myself explaining that one

vitaminjayz - i'll post some of your pics as that is one lovely case - yes it's old but 'classic' is 'always classic' in my book:

cheers for the reply

ive still got more stuff planned for it like some red 80mm unreal grills

and a crossfire logo under the ati logo all in clear red so you can still see inside .

i was wondering if the spec for a gaming pc was a bit rubbish ,however i am on a tight budget .

as for tidy its kind of a habit as i am a pc system builder for 12 years and used too work for poweroid.com and i used to build the pc,s for reviews to go in to magazines so had to make everything look good aswell as out perform other pc,s in the review .

i was the first person in the uk to be lucky to build a zalman tnn500 fanless pc that got reviews in magazines like custom pc ect

It's a very good spec - probably the best you could do on the budget you've had TBH!

Overall you've done a great job IMHO!

Welcome to the forums by the way. :)

P.S: Love those zalman fanless cases... just a tad pricy! :D

cheers GT

yeah i think when that zalman case 1st came out its was like £800 ,not sure how much it is atm

i did wonder if the cpu was a bit lame tbh but it does run all my games on max so far

thought about selling it and either getting one of the new quads or a e8400

but not sure ,money is tight atm.

cheers jay

In terms of 'bang for the buck' the q6600 has held it's own for a while now.

I only got the e8500 as a) i gamed more than encoded and b) i wanted to see 4ghz. TBH i probably should have got the quad and if i had it would have been a q6600 like yours! :)

hey gt

any chance see some pics of your rig.

i was tempted with water cooling but when i looked more into it i was put off with the high maintenance and also high risk of leaks .

i would have me head in the case all the time looking for leaks instead of enjoying my pc ,and if anything did get killed cos of water cooling it take me a long time to save up to replace any parts so thats why i went for the zalman 9700 nt just shame it has a green led instead of a red led .

Thanks! :)

Yup, it's a Razer Deathadder.

Best mouse i have ever used (and i have tried several), very comfortable, tracks well and is incredibly accurate. Only drawback is for left handed users as it is a right handed mouse.

If you are left handed then something like the Razer Lachesis would probably be best.
