Nice build. Is your 6600k overclocked? If so what volts? What load temps are you getting?

Matt

Pc was rather messy inside, stripped it down, tidied the bits up and routed the cables properly. deffo need a modular psu to help with cable management!

Case is a coolermaster haf case.

Yeh it was the cable management of a blind person I think lol
The Pc was getting noisey so thought best sort it out . Just not had the time or space to do much for quite some time . Hardly any noise from it now. When I get my own place again I'll do it properly , still not sure I'll get it to the standard of most of them on here though
Also could do with sorting my storage out and getting another ssd and getting rid of the normal ones

what red lighting you using String? I have a run of red LED's across the top of mine but the effect is no where near as good :(

It's one strip of Akasa Vegas Red along the top and down the front half.

It's actually much more subtle than it looks in those photos, I've taken the case side panel off because with it on all the internals look blurry in a photo. It's the perfect colour to have so close to the screen because it gives off very little glare and it also compliments the ROG theme really well.

Gave the case (Nanoxia Deep Silence 5) a clean up today and took these whilst the cleaning out the dust.. which seems to have just resettled back where it was. Very happy with the case, unbelievably solid and extremely quiet. Fans move a decent amount of air and are virtually silent. i5 4690K @ 4.4Ghz goes to a MAX of 63c in it. Door means the fan controller must be inside or set back and where else do you put a wireless controller dongle? :)

^ The eagled eyed will spot white-tack. Yes, the plastic in the SATA port broke, so this is the bodge that makes it work. :D

Oh, and the IO shield. It just will not fit. I couldn't care less as once everything is in, it doesn't move or get touched/seen again.

Put some castor wheels on my case,Makes moving it out from under my desk so much easier now for accessing the rear or generally just to dust it out as its VERY heavy!

A very recent budget build to tide me over for a couple of years...

vpELvy2.jpg

Corsair Carbide Air 540
Antec VP600P PSU
Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 motherboard
16GB Kingston Genesis DDR3-1866 RAM
AMD Phenom II X4 960T CPU
Radeon HD 7970
256GB Sandisk SSD and Maxtor 500GB HDD

I moved the Phenom from another machine where it was paired with a 5850. While that was a decent machine it's much better suited to the 7970.

Need to dig out the soldering iron as I have some LED strips to add.

Browse this forum daily so thought I would upload some pics of my build.

A recent upgrade to a custom waterloop and also popped in an R9 390 to play some of the new games releasing this year. :)

Still rocking my i7 920 @ 4Ghz. I'll be upgrading to a new platform soon so just holding fire for now.
