It's not really an attempt at showing off skills... they're not the most amazing of photos as i'm not the most amazing of photographers (yet!) haha... just samples directly related to recent purchase that I thought others might share a curiosity in... I could have created a separate thread, but it did not seem appropriate... you are more than welcome to just skip over a post if you're not fond of the content... my willy was only barely waved in your face through the magical mystery of the internet and a twiddle of the scroll wheel or flick of the touchpad would have only mildly warmed and tantalised me on this particular occasion

No worries, not taken that way, no upset-ness here... my reply was meant to be jovial rather than defensive + it gave me a chance to practice product-shotty type shots & wave my willy around some more... it's enjoying the fresh air today... poor neighbours :eek:

Probably to protect the front lens element.
Should add another cheaper filter to protect the expensive filter

Most appear to be Hoya with a couple of B+W. I learnt the hard way when a flying spark hit my 77mm B+W

Sadly I need that brand on the 17-40 because the Hoya have thicker threads which causes some vignette in images at the wide end.
