hmm, i cant really comment my 8800GTX runs most things :) however i can say that with a screen full of units it lags a lot less than supreme commander with a screen full of units :)
 
it'll run fine, it isn't resource hungry at all, I find it runs so smooth on my old system, it runs a lot smoother than BF2 and other old games do.

Same. I'm shocked how nice it runs on my system.

64 3200+, 2GB, 6800GS.

When I play as/vs the scrim I can't help but think of the War of the Worlds movie. :rolleyes:
 
Older (tweaked) rig here...

Athlon XP @ 2.8ghz
x850txpe overclocked a bit...
1 gig of ram (also tweaked, 255Mhz @ 6-2-2-2)

It runs quite nice at 1280 x 768 with everything up high apart from AA.

Looking is taskmanager, it rarely uses over 600mb or so, unless there are shedloads of units.

That macbook will be faster than this, so it should look great as long as you can run it at native res. :)

Yup, widescreen res supported as standard. I'm running at 1440*900.
 
How hard are the bloody scrin, im on the last mission for Gdi and those airships things are so overpowered

They destroy multiple units at the one time, they have shields and their attack range is further than the air defenses :mad:

I've only just got in from work and just started downloading patch v1.03 - anyone else had chance yet to see if it has solved the game.dat errors?
 
What error is everyone getting? I get "cannot connect to backend server".

I'm hearing reports from my brother and his mate that Tiscali blocks the required ports after 11am. Apparently if you're on Tiscali it's only possible to play online in the middle of the night or before 11am.

That would explain my problems then! I thought I had screwed up my port forwarding or something...

Ah ok fair play - EA really do need to get their act together though, how long have the had to plan the release of this game. I understand there are always complications as i write software for a living but the multiplayer side of the game is quite a big part of it - you would have thought they would have tested it a bit more

I do find they are very annoying! Have some firehawks at the ready... they seem to take them down quite nicely as long as you have more than 4. Also, rocket dudes in bunkers are good against normal aircraft. :) Pitbulls work well too, as they are fast.

Failing that, I did ion cannon 6 of them at once before they got to my base, but this is a waste of the ion cannon if you are on the final mission.
