I'd have done that myself if I was in my uni house, have been down to Asda at 1:30 a few times actually, is nice to do a shop without all the mums pushing trolleys into you :p
Hehe definitely!

Anyway enough about asda, back to C&C, just started the campaign under NOD and must say its all very impressive just looks awesome when you have gotten used to all the units

About to start a few games multiplayer... going to be a long night...

what do you think of Scrin?

i'm of the opinion that they're rubbish.

Looks good so far...

Anyone going thru the story as GDI? The Croatia (Cairo) mission is really hard, and NOD just fills my base with units... grrr

Was it just me or did it take an age and a day to install?

Yes, and the last part was worse with no real indication of progress.

With the nuke? Had trouble the first time, second go was less trouble. However I did find that one of the objectives failed even though I did what was asked. It says capture or destroy the power plants, so I destroyed them and nothing. :(

i noticed that too, but im missing my laser fences :(

my base allways feels trouncable, back in Tib Sun i could build bases that were pretty much unbreakable except from the most massive of tank rushes.

game is fantastic.

two gripes.....walls and lack of zooming out.

otherwise....awesome!! :D

Agreed on the walls thing, not being able to lay your own is a pain in the ass, you have to rely on the landscape or just lay crap loads of defenses. Don't mind the zoom level its fine for me, at least it isn't as bad as generals was.

I guess you could say they wanted to make it more of a 'challenge' this time. Building walls and 'turtleing' yourself in is a bit 'easy'. Since when someone breaks one wall with a tank, you can have another one pre-built read to put in place.

So I'm hopefully it will make things more interesting and keep you on your toes more. After all, 10 walls are really cheap, whereas 5 gdi watchtowers and 5 of the ones that are good for tanks(?) aren't so cheap!

I'm thinking very positively on this...

Walls are a pain anyway. With artillery, transports and rocket packs they're pretty much useless against a well formed force. A tank rush might be slowed, but not for a useful amount of time imo.

Picked mine up today, asked me if i'd preordered. Said no, the guy went yes you did and chucked a GDI tshirt into my bag :)

Shame i'm taking my missus out for dinner tonight :(

The GDI campaign good so far, up to the white house mission, finally got me some tanks. :p

Playing on normal difficulty and enjoying the challange, I'm normally a wuss with RTS games and stick them on the lowest setting.
