Can someone give me some clues how to complete the last GDI level "ground zero". No matter what I do I get owned big time, lol :p

If I'm thinking of the right mission, make sure you cover the bridge to the south west.
Keep some war factorys / rigs up the north to stop the trickle of nod units.

And then have a pad of firehawks flying around ready to shoot down any skrin/nod air units.

The problem I find is that "rift" thing. Before I have a chance to build a decent force up, I get totally blitzed by it so I'm left with a piffling force left that gets owned big time. Any way to get rid of this rift object earlier enough to give meself a bit of breathing space?

Their superweapon? Yeah you have to get rid of that before they fire it.
A couple of mammoths on a 'no stopping' attack or a bunch of firehawks with bombs get rid of that.

Literally just build an army of a few of each type of tank, then storm in and take it with an engineer, simple :) (well, was for me anyway :p)

It's back up.

Just owned some GDI matey.

:D just played with 5 germans, god talk about lack of any team work, first guy died on my team on the other side of the map, he was useless, 2nd guy on my team seemed to think he was the computer on easy or somethign sending single unit 1 by 1 at the enemy o_O and there was me sat in the corner with 200 venoms vs 3 other teams (2.5 in a way, i mashed one of them hehe)

luckily the big timeout box came up, wouldnt go away, some how when it disapeared it said victory and i was the only one left ^_^

we defo have to have an ocuk game soon, i keep playing with foreign people who i cant understand and losing because of it

the whole of gamespy was down, i couldnt sign into test drive either.

if your scrin and someone else has a superweapon, let it get to like 10 seconds, then make a wormhole and send a mastermind through and blow up their own base :D

Just finished the NOD campaign on this, playing as GDI now. Great game and really enjoyable, can't stop playing it tbh...

Another good one is to make Mastermind, and then queue up a Signal Transmitter (think it's called that), and then have the Mastermind control an opponents construction yard, or anything really, slap the transmitter down and then deploy the Mothership :D

I've just started the nod campaign having just finished the gdi one. You're gonna love the last level! Took me about 8 goes at it and only just scrapedf through at critical point.

gdi last level was simple..

now nod last level is a different matter and it also sucks as a level full stop.

Agreed, at one point I couldn't see how to last level of NOD could be done, but it just all fell into place after loosing about 4 times.

Just had 2 games online and lost...

Other m8 uses that old skool tatic of make units/rush them to tiberium spots and fortify the place with non stop unit/tanks.

So in both games i just ran out of tiberium, any advise on such an old skool tatic ? I cant charge into his base with little units/ he puts plenty units by then in the middle of the map and while his economy grows I just get weaker/

I find my defenses are generaly poor even when I mix air/ground turrents they get wiped in seconds and offer little to no protection of my base? Is this how people are finding it....

Is there any defense to this or just go back to Supreme commander where they figured out this economy/resource issue ? ;)

Don’t talk of such sacrilege! a lot of this game is about your build order, depending on the army your fighting and the sort of player you think the other one will be. He’s able to roll out tanks faster than you, you need to address this problem and enhance your economy plan so that you can keep rolling out tanks without worrying about funds and still have the money to build your base.

If he’s focusing on a BO that allows him to roll out tanks, be really underhanded, get some engis out and the ability to transport them to his base before he’s able to counter it, find weaknesses in his plan. Look at the replays, check his build order, see if there’s a gap or even mirror what he’s doing then try something sneaky.

This is a resource RTS, SC was much more a combat RTS (not entirely but much more so than CnC has ever been).

i have a few problems with c&c3. Too simplistic economy management, however I think thats more my problem than the games, C&C generally has always been quite easy on the eco (as in balancing what you gather)

Tank spam wins most things, I just spammed out loads of scorpions and beat my opponent with ease, only at the end did he get the tech centre up for rail guns but it was too late.

However despite its faults, its really fun.

That's the whole point of tank spamming as Nod vs GDI. If you let them get the rail guns then you have a much harder fight on your hands as the scorpions are made of tin foil.

That said if you get 5 shadow teams in the back of their base early on then you can do enough damage to give you enough time unleash a shed load of lazer & dozer equipped scorpions on their base.

At least that's how it happened last night :)

edit:

I managed to beat Scrin last night, unleashed about 50 bikes on his base in the first 5 mins and he/she got scared and quit.
