And different version of the game
Beat the score with the same game version and same API (with same number of GPUs)? Challenge accepted or can't do it on level terms?

Why don't the Nvidia guys come in and give it a try on this new version. If they can't improve then it's clearly the mantle improvements doing the business rather than anything changed in the game.

Oh look, the AMD signal went off, here come the AMD clique! :)

That's forcing everyone to re-run the bench at every resolution and combination of cards every time there's a new version of the game to keep the scores relevant.
Notice how with Heaven Kaap started a new thread for version 3 and version 4 and didn't just compare the scores to the version 2.5 scores?

I'd imagine when 8Pack does benches they specify the version of the benchmark to use, not just a pick whichever version you want scenario.

Which people do regularly on performance driver releases. This is nothing new and the people on here run benchmarks for fun and as a hobby. I am sure the majority would rerun if there was fps to be gained. Grow up mate with the AMD clique talk it's embarrassing.

Heaven changes with major updates-the tests change.

Other game BM's get ran and counted after updates.

What about Firestrike, it's had at least 6 updates and still the same results tables?

3DMark Windows Edition v1.1.0
3DMark Windows v1.2.250
3DMark Windows v1.2.362
3DMark v1.4.775
3DMark v1.4.778
3DMark v1.4.780

^
Notice the 1.*

Heaven is version 3.* then version 4.*, if it was 3.1 then 3.2 and they got independent table results you'd be onto something...

Thief is still version 1.*

Better post your point in the Firestrike/game BM threads that have had updates and ask greg and Kaap/the other guys, to sift and sort through all the results as they aren't 'fair'.

Good luck with that.:p

Although Mantle got the better score, DX looked smoother and Mantle had some horrific jerk moments. I ran it twice, same both times.

Same rig, just a 5960X at 4.4 Ghz in there now. Also GPUs at 1215/1615,
