**The New Official THIEF-Incorporating Bench mark Thread**

I took a couple of screenshots earlier at 1440P, res scale 150% 4K, Ultra preset with x4 AA. It looks nice but im sure proper 4k looks better.

It will look better on a 4K display for sure, But i don't know what you mean by 'proper 4k' Its the same thing as far as the render goes, think of resolution scaling as down sampling, the game is being rendered in 4K and then compressed to fit whatever res you have set, the image is a 4K quality image displayed at 1080P, in my case... 1440P in yours. :)

I think the quality difference between you and me is also different as i run 1080P while you run 1440P, your already closer to 4K than i am natively.

I came within an ace of blowing up my 4930k trying to run Mantle at 4K and that was only @4.0ghz.

The VRAM memory problem with Mantle causes massive instability and thrashes the living daylights out of CPUs, fortunately it is not so bad on BF4.

I did do a couple of Mantle runs in between loads of crashes and will post them later. The two card run was worse than DX11 and the three card run was a bit better. I decided to give up when my CPU and PC powered off with the 4930k @4.0ghz and using 1.4v, even this was not enough to keep things stable.

Probably because with Mantle its pushing all the CPU threads instead of just a few like in DX.
