Mantle kicking some api butt
Well done amd and thief devs.
With +175mv. It will go higher but its far too hot so temps go up and fps go down when my gpu's get hot. Someone with a better cooled 290P or even a 290X will beat my scores don't worry.
I just completed a run with 1250/1625 at 1440P with +150mv. I can probably fine tune voltage, brings temps down a tad and get slightly higher fps. I've had enough now though for today and will submit a 1440P bench shortly. I will wait for a cold day and rerun my 1080P bench as well because i used higher voltage for that.
Humbug you made a mistake on my minimum fps of my 1440P bench.

290P crossfire @1250/1625
14.6 Beta
DirectX
This is an entry.
1080P
1440P
My DX scores are crap. Low gpu usage is the problem at 1080P.
In fairness they're completely different APIs. DX score vs. DX score is what should be compared.
My opinion is that if multiple cards and different resolutions get a separate leaderboard, Mantle and DX should get a separate leaderboard too.
Why do you separate out different resolutions and 2, 3 & 4 gpu setups?
So you can compare like for like.
It doesn't stop someone looking at what 280X Crossfire scores and what a 780Ti scores if they want to, so wouldn't stop people comparing a 290X with Mantle and a 780Ti with DX if they wanted to.
Surely the reason everyone runs at the same settings is so that things can be compared evenly?
I could say the same thing about multi-card setups.
I think you missed this one I posted earlier too.
Two card 1600p entry
2 x 290Xs @1230/1625
4930k @4.8
Entry
3770k 3.7/7970s 1200/1600 24/7 clocks (its way too hot here to even try bench with high clocks)
1080p single card mantle
1080p crossfire mantle
With crossfire i get a big bottleneck on my first 2 threads. It doesnt make a difference if i bench with stock clocks or 1200/1600
What's the best method for controls in this game, Xbox pad or mouse and keyboard?
Some games work better with a console pad though, Sleeping dogs for example. I don't mind using either on games like this. If there's a lot of skillful aiming/shooting involved then ill always use mouse and keyboard.
