The New Stargate Universe Thread

The Mrs and I have now after 18 months just finished all of SG1 and SGA. After the reviews on this thread of universe not sure I will even bother watching it. The last series of SGA has kinda killed our appetite.

Think I might give this a rest and try Battlestar Gallactica instead.

Forget SGU and watch Battlestar Gallactica

Deffo watch it buddy.

First half of the season is slow to be sure, but things have picked up shed loads now and the characters are beginning to develop nicely.

Watch both. BSG absolutely deserves to be watched.

If you've made it through 15 seasons of Stargate and 3 movies then you'd enjoy SGU if you like the universe (pardon the pun) they've created.

Must take several series to cross the void though... interesting to see how they'll manage this. I hope they spend more time exploring the actual ship.

They did cross the void between the two galaxies. It was In/Between Sabotage and Pain. Safe to say it took several weeks, or a month or so at most.

They can't imagine them being able to show them crossing the void over several episodes/series. It would be pretty dull for plot opportunities.

ep18 was the best episode so far imo.

Some intense scenes and involvement of old characters really adds to this series.
If only the previous 17 had been like this.
19+20 should be damn good if they keep to this formulae

It certainly was a good episode - some might say it's more akin to SG1 (with the use of the Goa'uld torture for one) - which in my view ain't a bad thing :D

Be interesting to see just what the Lucian Alliance thinks it can get from being aboard Destiny!

Oh and looking forward to seeing more of Kiva ;)
