i played the demo quickly, i dont like the lock on shooting system, should be more max payne like imo, but it looks very nice and seems like it could be quite fun.

Help help !

This is ridiculous. I just downloaded it from eidos for 4 hours at 30kbps cos of all the traffic i finally open it and its corrupt. It is a Rar file isnt it? I downloaded WinRar extracted all the files and then i get these to error messages.

tombraiderlegenddemo.rar: CRC failed in archive.dat. The file is corrupt

tombraiderlegenddemo.rar: Unexpected end of archive

So i tried downloading the latest beta version of winrar and it still had the same error.

I tried fixing the files and it rebuilt the archive but still had the same error.

Are all the demo mirrors Rar files?

Help me please.

Edit : Just tried the other free one and its still Rar

i dunno what to do now, i was gonna pre-order it depending on what the demo was like. I just wasted my entire evening downloading it for over 4 hours only to have a corrupted download.

Should have gone to specsavers............. oops wrong thing go to file planet instead i dl it in under 30 mins on my 2mb connection (im a subscriber)

Not bad, certainly a big improvement on Angel of Darkness, though I think I'll wait and see what the game looks like when they've added the 'next gen content' to the demo on the 7th of April, it does look a bit consoleish at the moment.

just finished the demo, its good to see lara back and fighting, its been too long.
its pretty damn good i have to say, ok it might not be the most difficult game i've played, but hey its fun. graphics are nice, environment textrues are a bit bland and lowres looking to me, but damn, they went to town on lara herself, pretty as ever.
control system is very easy to get a long with i felt right at home, weird button layout but not complicated, camera angles are so much improved over angel of darkness.

i like it, hell i may even buy it, playing the demo reminded me of the good old days playing TR on the psx, i miss those long nights with lara

Just finished playing the demo and am very near to pre-ordering. Anyone got a pc game controller or did you just use keyboard and mouse? I don't know if Lara will be able to walk in the full version but if she does i might need a touch sensitive pad or there could be a button to hold down whilst moving. I was looking at the XFX one earlier but didn't know wether it was worth getting. Can anyone recommend me a good controller please?

Interesting bit of news (sorry if it's old but it's new for me!) - they've changed developers for this version

They've changed to Crystal Dynamics whereas the previous 6 games have all been developed by Core Design (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2, Tomb Raider 3, Tomb Raider: The Last Relevation, Tomb Raider Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness)

I find it best to use a ps2 pad on my pc.You can get a usb-ps2 converter for less than a tenner
