Lucky guess? It looks like Alan Wake, and the narrator even says "Right, let's get back to Mr. Wake" - not exactly difficult xD

I didnt know there was a game called Alan Wake getting made and i thought it was the name of the guy talking  :p :o

Will wait a year and then get a cutting edge system with quad core, vista, DX10 gfx etc etc. Hardly any point in upgrading now.

Doing the above is going to be such a waste of money and only a fool would do such a thing for one game that isn`t even released yet....................
Oh well good job I`m starting to save now !!!!!!!! :D

I dont know whether you actaully read what was written correctly. In a years time we will be onto the second phase dx10 cards and quad core will have been out at least 6 months. Waiting a year is a good idea, as you will get a very good machine for a reasonable price..... (reasonable in tech terms)

You can't possibly imagin the xbox360 running like that can you?

"Alan Wake was demonstrated at the Intel Developer Forum in September 2006, running on an Intel Core 2 Quad processor clocked at 3.73GHz. The demonstration took the form of a tech demo, showcasing engine features such as day/night cycle, volumetric light, weather and physics. It was revealed that the game engine is multi-threaded and able to make full use of all four cores, with separate threads for physics, graphics & sound processing and seamless streaming of world data. It is therefore likely that the Xbox 360 version will also be able to take advantage of the Xenon CPU's three cores."

But it wouldnt surprise me if they just turn down some of the graphics and effects for the Xbox360;)

I'd guess you'll probably be able to make Alan Wake look a lot lot better on the PC, but the difference in quality to an average casual gamer probably wont matter a single thing, as it'll look great on both systems anyway.

Hmm I do have a PC and I play PC games on it, so I can post in here.
Nobody mentioned the Xbox 360 until you came along, it was off-topic and obvious flame bait to anyone with an ounce of sense.

Well that settles it...wait for all this quad-core just to come out and have me some of that. But did anyone get any dates when this will be released (the processor)? 2007 at a guess but you guys might know more.

We'll leave it at that and keep it back a little more on topic. (Not aimed at you, more to stop the squabbling before it begins).

Between November and January from what I could find out, so very soon.

We both know that ship has sailed. I'll put £5 on this thread ending up locked.
It hasn't, only really 3 or 4 posts about it, if anything goes out of hand, I'll get it dealt with accordingly.

Well I am not going to upgraded, infact its not an upgrade its a whole new pc setup, someone said the game was run on a $3,000 PC now I would like to see it running on a Xbox 360 to compare them.

I am not trolling I just stated that I would rather have it on my current 360 than spend £2000 on a PC.

The storyline of the game sounds great, any footage of the game in storymode?

Well you should have said that in your original post, instead of saying something that will always trigger those kinds of reactions.
