****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Wassn't that bad at all, obviously couldn't hit each other properly.

There was a Resident Evil 1 and that was bad at least in Manchester, also the group I was with weren't interested in the least (apart from some crazy older woman (mid 50s). The Resident Evil live demo had 2 people shouting at you to get down and hurry which then made this old woman alk on all fours... (even the actors had to stop and say STANDDDD UP!!) Pull us through the pitch black room with random branches and 3-4 people pretending to be zombies... Just felt so random and un-needed :p

For those that seen it, what was the viewing angle like. was it a dead zone or is it better than whats being perceived?

I've just sold my DS Lite at CeX as part of my 3DS fundraising... Got a woeful £37 cash for it. He said they're losing value all the time as the 3DS approaches. Still, probably better to have sold it now than next week.

Been reading a few opinons from people who have been to these events and it seems to have some mixed opinions. I was never day 1 but now im sure im going to wait till the 3DS"lite" to even consider this.

You know what, I'm not sussed about the tech but if this handheld enabled me to play all the Nintendo classics that I love then I'd probably buy one. Then again, I also know that I'll be able to do this on the NGP at some point, but I'll have to wait a lot longer to do so.

Hmm Splinter Cell 3D is that ment to be Choas Theory?

I'm shocked Zelda isn't a launch title might hold back from buying one of these at release..

Yes it is but remember its an ubi soft handheld game, it will have an fps in single digits :(

As for the lunch line up, I cant see any thing I really like, tho I have never played a pilot wings before.

I'd be tempted if the Chaos Theory multiplayer was included, Hopefully it runs well on the 3DS.

I've gone for SFIV. I'd be tempted by Splinter Cell if I hadn't completed each of the first 3 games (you know, the decent ones) multiple times on the PC.

I'm really looking forward to RPGs on this. The DS has all ways been king for hand held RPGs and sometimes more engrossing that console RPGs.

:)

As a rough guess I would say its about PSP standard probably a little higher it's what you would expect from high end smartphone games with a slightly lower resolution.

Couldn't find any info on it so thought i'd ask here:

Anyone know if slight short sightedness/lazy eye vision would effect the 3D effect of the 3DS? I imagine short sight wouldnt matter much as it's pretty close to you anyway. but as the basis is on different images going to different eyes does anyone know if slight lazy eye would ruin the effect?

Must admit Zelda is my main app.. might give Pilot Wings or Splinter Cell a go on launch though.
