****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Picked up my 2ds from post office today excited to play tonight. Is there any use in the nintendo points? Seems you need a lot to get anything other than just ringtones?

I believe the whole club nintendo thing is closing down later this year so unless you get a lot of them probably not? Someone who has a lot and close to getting something might be appreciative of them though? Correct me if wrong someone though xD

Just to continue from the DK difficulty discussion... Have you all played the 1-K Platform Panic level?

Mental, nearly on my 20th go

I'm nearly finished up with level 7 and **** me it's starting to get tricky, funny thing is it's been....relatively speaking....a breeze, up to this point.

Still not as tough as Tropical Freeze imo though, that game is genuinely rock hard.

Beat this.

Well thats my final heart piece found.

I didn't realise that Ocarina of Time 3D was increasing in value? I have an unopened UK copy which I've simply not got around to playing yet. I'm definitely not opening it now!

Not sure if it's been posted but Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is £19 on Amazon.
Yeh bought this.
Got 2ds this week and so far have this (arriving tomorrow) Pokemon Alpha, mario 3d land and just bought Mario kart + Mario brothers 2 for £32 combined (Digital off the bay).
So much for my cheap month but I should be sorted for a good few months now and hopefully get monster hunter 4 for my birthday next week,

Yes its out of print now so I expect it will go up a bit but not massively higher than £50 as there are quite a lot and its on the eshop (I think?)

Any one with a 2ds got the trigger grips. They look well good but I can only see them from game and was after a 1st hand thoughts before I buy.

My 3ds is playing silly buggers with me.

The red light is flashing and the battery is at one bar, and no matter how long I xharge it for (done it overnight) the level doesn't change.

I've now had it on running for about 45 mins and it is still on! Gonna run it dead and see what happens. Anyone else had similar issues??

I'm a little worried as it's an Aussie import new 3ds so dunno how the warranty will be

Might be worth contacting Nintendo UK and just saying you're having some issues and see if they suggest any issues with the serial no?

You could also try getting a replacement battery pack off eBay and seeing if works properly when the battery is changed?

No point keeping it unopened. Only worth doing that if the game isn't available anywhere but you can still buy it and its on the eshop. So the physical value will hold its price at £30 to £35.

I still have mine sealed but I will opening it soon.

Folks, without spoiling it as much as possible....

I just started Majoras Mask....
and I don't get it... Ive now gotten the ocarina back and have managed to remove the mask (not sure why I can now remove it).

And basically have been told to go to the four places across the map...

Thing is I don't get the beginning thing with the 3 days thing... and the moon? It doesn't explain it at all....

And now Im on my way to the south swamp and again, that 3 day thing comes up....

Did it explain in game why this is in the game? (At least at the point where Im at?)

Will it be explained later?

You can remove it because you learned the song of healing I believe which the mask seller taught you.

The whole game operates on this cycle, I don't understand the criteria for some stuff myself but basically certain things you do carry over if you rewind time. As an example, I went to the first temple and got the item but I was going to run out of time so I had to rewind time and I still had the item from the temple.
Still had to do the whole thing again though. The moon isn't really explained, just from talking to people a lot are worried it's going to crash into town as it gets closer over time.

Quite a bit isn't explained and I find doing some things over again tedious to the point where I don't think I'll finish the game. It's no OoT that's for sure.

I picked up MH4U for my 3DSXL last week (first MH game i have ever played) and im loving it, only 10 hours in but i have watched about 2 hours of videos and listened to a couple of podcasts to aid in my enjoyment.

so today i have just picked up a new 3DS with 3 free games from Argos and ordered the MH4U case from shopto (£10) to remove the plain black. the biggest problem is i was used to the controls so now i feel i have too much control until i get used to it... must say im impressed with the stability of the 3D.

also picked up a Pikachu and Yoshi Amibo to lookpretty on the unit (dont play smash bros but may come in handy one day)
