****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Probably the best place to ask this. So any of the newer pokemon games have the original pokemon in them?

As far as I know you can complete the entire pokedex if you have X + Y + OR + AS.
(Bar event pokemon)
So yes they each have some original pokemon in them in ORAS at least you get the national pokedex at the end of the story which is when a lot of the original pokemon come to the region.

Cheers. Had a quick Google trying to see if the specific originals I wanted were in either game and it seems x/y would be the one to get for now. Ill keep an eye open for a good new 3ds deal now that I know I can at least squirtle and cubone in those ones.

So I am off on holiday on Monday and was hoping to pick up a 3DS XL off the members market but no one seems to be selling one.

Looking to buy a number of games to keep me busy so what bundles have people seen/can recommend?

Hi all,

Getting a o3ds XL to take on holidays...was mainly looking to get pokemon, but can you recommend any other games? Also considering mario kart (classic!) and monster hunter 4.

Seen a few deals for the 2ds/3ds (older version/new version)
I cant look at 3d (gives me a migraine after just a couple of minutes) so would a 3ds be a waste of money over say the 2ds?
Or are there enough 'other' features to warrant the price difference between the 3ds and 2ds

Nah, i cant see 3ds full stop due to being blind in one eye but I have all the 3DS models and play games fine. Obviously with the 3D switched off.

So through some luck and persistence, I managed to snag a mint condition n3DSXL for £85. Came with an adapter but no box but I can forgive that as it's almost £100 off the RRP! Thanks GumTree :D

1st on my list was Omega Ruby which I got ripped off by GAME where they were selling it for £37 pre-owned! Could have got Sapphire for £30 from Tesco but I wanted Ruby as I had Ruby originally! Also picked up Zelda Link Between Worlds for £20 too.

I'll get my NNID added to the other thread!

I recently purchased a n3DS to replace my 3DS XL, which now belongs to my son.
I contemplated purchasing another XL, but the interchangeable plates and overall finish of the compact model convinced me otherwise. Why Nintendo opted for a glossy finish on the n3DSXL is beyond me.

Also, is it just me or has Nintendo stopped sealing their retail packaging?

I just found out about the SNES games getting released on the 3DS. Which I was very happy about.

Then I found out MY 3DS won't play the games. So I need to buy ANOTHER 3DS even though mine still works perfectly fine?! What fresh madness is this?

Its Nintendo trying to get you to buy a console you already own so you can play a very few selected games. Im disappointed in this strategy, the company seems to be divided in there sales tactics right now, all this Day One DLC, staggered releases of games and Gated content on consoles ****es me off.

Im almost done with Nintendo as a customer, im waiting on the EU release of Fire Emblem and thats about it for me.

Its just staggering. There is literally NO reason for this. The 3DS plays Nintendo 64 games without the slightest problem. So it plays 64 bit games..... but it can't play 16 bit ones?!?!

Nintendo. What the hell happened to you? You used to be the gods of video games. Now your just a joke! :(

As I said in the Wii U thread, people complained about the n3DS not getting support. This is their answer.

And lets be honest, any Nintendo fan would have these Snes games on another format anyway, not the first time Nintendo have released these in digital form.

I own a n3DS and but not buying these again, I own most of the best Nintendo games on physical cart, I'm not paying for them again. Same goes for Pokemon Red and Blue.

Also ****ed with the SNES games, recently picked up a 3DS XL again as I just fancied Pokémon again, mario and OOT, heard about the announcement of SNES games on a podcast and instantly loaded the store up and go my credit card details as the idea of earthbound on the 3DS seemed ideal but then it said not available :(

Maybe a good thing as chances are I would never of put the time into it I would like to but it does annoy me

Just got an LL and looking for a grip as have big shovel hands :D

The Cyber one looks like it could be a winner but seems to be Jap import only :( anyone have any experience or could recommend an LL one ?

I've got a n3DS which I haven't taken out of its box for more than a few minutes. It's the majoras mask version, I wanted to keep it in prestine condition as a collectors item, but I'm so tempted by the new snes releases :(. I've wanted to play Earthbound for years. Seems like the perfect opportunity to do so as well.

Must resist!
