****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

My macbook hates my home hub, but the apple tv works fine but tbh the airport extreme is much more reliable for wifi which is why i use it for wifi & the home hub for wired connections.

Majora sorted now?

Cheers all

Not quite, I still don't see MM on the home screen.

Trying to go into eShop but it needs an update.

I get 3 squares and it gets an error and needs a reboot....rinse and repeat. Happened twice now.

Does anyone know how to check which accounts are linked to which for your Club Nintendo and Nintendo Network ID? I have only ever setup one for each. I previously had a Nintendo 2DS, and I bought Smash Bros via the eShop.

I've since migrated my data over to my new Nintendo 3DS XL, on which I logged on with my Nintendo Network ID. I also bought Majora's Mask via the eShop the other day.

However, both games are not appearing on my Club Nintendo page, and thus I don't seem to be eligible for the Mewtwo promotion? On my new Nintendo 3DS XL, I tried via the eShop to link my Club Nintendo, but then it says it is already linked to a Nintendo Network ID. I mean wtf, how could it possibly be linked to another one, when I'm trying to link the exact same account?

Check what is registered on a club account by logging in on nintendo.co.uk and clicking your account name then going to games and systems on the left to see whats been registered. Have you done the surveys to claim them? Also how did you transfer your account from the 2ds to n3ds? The connection between id and club should carry over.

I think the n3DS supports WPA2 but might not be great on anything above wireless G. It was a bit iffy on my Virgin SH2 until I dropped down to 54MBps from 144MBps.

Contacted Nintendo last Thursday when i got my New 3DS, explained to them the issue with my NNID being locked to my old 3DS which i don't own no more, but still use the same NNID with my Wii U.

Today they untied my NNID from my old 3DS, and now i have all access to all the eshop games i purchased! I thought it would take longer than this, getting it sorted within a few days had me surprised.

Now i can start using the eshop and look around for cheaper eshop games. :)

Prepare to be one of the most quoted people on the internet for when people invariably trot out 'Can't believe my games are tied to the console and not my account!!'

Are the games on the 3DS saved on the cartridge or the SD card, if you have a cartridge game. (obvious that eshop games are saved to the SD card).

Also, is there no way to have the same game to be on more than 1 3DS if purchased from the eShop at the same time?

I think with cartridges they save to the cartridge. There might be some sort of save backup function deep in settings somewhere to back cartridge saves up - I'd have to check.

Think it's a no to Q2.

Thanks, that seals it then…I am going to get all my games on cartridges, I find the XL a bit big and also a bit slippery. May be because my hands are not that big, I find it awful in terms of ergonomics (never had this problem with previous Gameboy or DS). I might change it to a regular 3DS at some point.
