When i was down in Yorkshire i bought 8 pints of home made cider at a market and currently just finished my third. Tastes very sweet, not to gassy and from what i can tell roughly 8-9%.....why cant manufacturers make a cider like that
Brewed locally by the Fallen Angel brewery. 5.2% ABV. Smells like it wants to ruin your stomach, very pronounced smell of chilli. Tastes initially sweet with a real burn as it goes down which continues as a very warm feeling with a sweet and smokey aftertaste. The flavour of chilli dominates, but it's actually not too bad. I've had hotter curries, but couldn't stop salivating after the first mouthful!
I know, mad isn't it! They do lots of other beers/ales and another less hot version which I haven't tried. Infact AFAIR, this is the only brew of theirs I've had.
