The **Now Drinking** Thread

:)

Was in a bar tonight and got a pint of St. Mungo.

By all accounts, it's a very good beer. However, this bar. Not only was the glass dirty, but the beer was flat. This was confirmed by my friend who had exactly the same situation. We deliberated about sending it back and I ultimately decided that it had to go back. I went to the bar, and told the barman that the beer was both flat and the glass was unclean. He replied, "we've sold at least 5 pints since you guys got yours and haven't had any complaints.". I protested, and showed him the beer. He begrudgingly took the beers back and gave us two pints of Pilsner Urquell (best of a bad bunch...). Whilst the glasses were clean, the beer was also very flat.

La Cuisine, what would you have done in this situation?

Regardless how many more the barman has served without complaint you've paid for your drink and I was unhappy with it then I'd also have take it back and politely pointed out the issue (assuming you haven't supped 3/4 of it already :p)

Probably time to finish your Pilsner Urquell and move onto the next bar - there's plenty to choose from :)
