Was in a bar tonight and got a pint of St. Mungo.

By all accounts, it's a very good beer. However, this bar. Not only was the glass dirty, but the beer was flat. This was confirmed by my friend who had exactly the same situation. We deliberated about sending it back and I ultimately decided that it had to go back. I went to the bar, and told the barman that the beer was both flat and the glass was unclean. He replied, "we've sold at least 5 pints since you guys got yours and haven't had any complaints.". I protested, and showed him the beer. He begrudgingly took the beers back and gave us two pints of Pilsner Urquell (best of a bad bunch...). Whilst the glasses were clean, the beer was also very flat.

La Cuisine, what would you have done in this situation?

As I said the other day in regards to the Sol...not a lot :p Depends where I was, city centre I would go somewhere else, local place probably order a bottle of something or just shut up and drink :D

I'd send it back. I usually ask for something else though as suddenly getting a nice pint from the same pump is unlikely!

I've gone through a few pints before, as well as the original barman , another barman and then the manager. Luckily they all agreed it didn't taste right! I've also had them flat refuse, so just make a nuisance of myself until I get a refund and go elsewhere. It always looks better from your side if you haven't necked half the pint before you take it back by the way :D
