Hang over cure

I've been going out and drinking cocktails a lot more recently. Last night I was in a gin bar, and got an Old Fashioned. This seemed wrong, so tonight I made a Gin Old Fashioned.

10ml of Simple Syrup
Lemon Twist
2.5 measures of Edinburgh Gin
8 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Ice.

Add syrup & lemon twist to glass. Muddle.
Add in bitters.
Add in gin.
Stir
Throw in a few cubes of ice.
Stir
Drink.

It's actually really quite nice. Though, my flatmate refused it saying that I was "******** insane and belonged on a park bench". His girlfriend tried it, and screwed up her face. It's strong, very strong but use good gin and it's really nice. I wouldn't like it with cheap gin but the flavour in Edinburgh really works.

Recommend you give it a go if you enjoy Old Fashioneds & Gin.
 
So drinkers. It's my birthday tomorrow. I want you all to have something gin related. When I say all I mean the usual posters in here. You know who you are!

I'm having gin martini.

You can taste the tea, but I think if you didn't know it was tea infused you wouldn't identify the flavour. It's OK, not that impressive but not bad. First New Zealand brew I've had I think.
