The **Now Drinking** Thread

Picked this up on a visit to Ingerland last week:

It's very floral in taste with the hops coming through as an aftertaste - it's not bad but I probably couldn't drink any more than one.

Thread revival and I had a fruity night last night:

The Mango IPA tasted pretty much the same as Brewdog's Hazy Jane if I'm being honest and it isn't one I'd buy again.

The Key Lime Pie on the other hand was an awesome sour - does anyone else remember the retro sweets called Millers Chocolate Limes? That's exactly how awesome this beer was and now I'm asking myself why I only bought two . . . .

Last night started with

Unfortunately it's very difficult to get 5% Grolsch in this country anymore. It's only 4% rubbish now, probably because of taxation or something. Shame, because 5% Grolsch is incredible.
Same with 1664. Oddly the french stronger but smaller bottles taste better than the reduced alcohol for tax reason version.

Can of Tennets last night. Genuinely a really palatable beer since they brought the ABV down. 7.5% now which is no more then a lot of Belgian beers, and it's better then the majority imo, nowhere near as heavy on the stomach.

Well it's the office virtual xmas quiz.. so a bottle... of Affligem 0.0 (ie 0% alcohol). Possibly not the best taste after peanut M&Ms but acceptable. Definitely not Affligem normal but hoppy whilst being 'office' safe..

Few cans of this

Then probably all of this

Moretti is my beer of choice at the moment. Keep seeing articles about it not been brewed in Italy... Who care, if it's a decent beer then I'm not bothered where it's brewed.

Any whiskey or bourbon drinkers?

For years I've never liked either. But at my local spoons, my mate was on Bell's and coke for 99p, so it was rude not to give it another go.

So, I've not started drinking JD and bells depending what's on offer. Now I prefer JD, but is it worth the extra £8 a bottle? What else is there that I should try? So far I've tried Jim beam, JD, gentleman's jack, haige and bells. Is there something cheap but also nice like JD?

Id take Jim Beam or JD over Bells. So much more choice these days, I always picked Bells as I hated Teachers and they seemed to be the only two available at the local. You can get Bulleit or Buffalo Trace for not much more and I think they are better than most at that price.
