The **Now Eating** Thread

I don't think I've baked a cake in over 20 years, not since primary school, but I decided to make a battenberg. My wife and girls are lactose intolerant so they can't have shop battenberg as it always has milk or whey powder in, so I figured I'd make one myself so we could have one. One girl helped me make the almond sponge, the other helped with the pink one. I did the cake chopping and marzipan and jam assembly. It came out pretty well. Fingers crossed it tastes good, we'll have some for pudding after tea.

I put the right one together first so it's a bit wonky. The left one is better - we're freezing that one for next weekend when my parents come over for their 70th birthday celebrations. First time I've made them a birthday cake!

Went with some friends to see Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them. We went for dinner afterwards at Wagamama's.

And for main I had chicken & prawn cha han donburi. Really enjoyed this as well :)

I forgot to take a pic but just finished the Mexican Stack from McDonalds. I must say it's probably the best special burger I've had from there for a long time.

A foot long festive feast from Subway. Has turkey breast, sausages and steaky bacon. Had it on hearty Italian with American cheese, lettuce, peppers and the cranberry sauce swapped for BBQ sauce. Damn good! :)

muller light luscious lemon yogurt.
lovin' this stuff, especially after about an hour and a half in the freezer.

i hope this stays and isn't a one batch wonder.
