The **Now Eating** Thread

Today was the 1 year anniversary of my mums passing away. I took a holiday from work and me and my dad went out for lunch, just for a chance to talk and remember her.

Good meal. Nachos to start, with pulled pork and beef chilli. Followed by the Lets Meat Up Decker. A big sandwich with hand carved gammon, beef and turkey, with a couple of pigs in blankets on top. The place has a carvery, so I'm assuming the meat came from there. Was really good. Really filling too. No room at all for pudding.

can of mackerel in spicy tomato sauce.
and disgusting, used ot like these, but haven't had added sugar in anything for a few weeks, and omg silly sweet mackerel is not pleasant.

why on earth does it need sugar in it, let alone 5.4% sugar.

Had lunch at Nic's NYC Deli in Glasgow. They have a great selection of sandwiches, hot dogs, pancake stacks, baked potatoes etc. All kinda New York style, but with a Glasgow twist.

I had the XXL sandwich, which has pulled pork, ham, roast chicken, pastrami, turkey, bacon, Monterey jack and Swiss cheeses, Jalapenos, pickles and fried onions (though I had mine without onions)

It was immense! Bear in mind that's only HALF the sandwich. It was a struggle to finish it, but it was SO GOOD!

Is that XXL £11.95 or are my eyes making me look foolish again ?

Close. £11.75. Which makes it the most expensive item on their menu. :o

It was my first time eating there though, so I just had to have it. I would say it was worth the money.
