I will give the Heston boiled egg a go. I have been lazy recently and just do it in the InstantPot and usually turn out good as can loads lots of eggs in one go.

Need to perfect the poached egg technique though as never like I've had out.

Doh. Makes sense now. I guess dropping it into warm Ramen broth helps too. Had a brain fart and was thinking you have to keep it hot to serve! :D

Yup, what I do is on the weekend I would make my char shui pork and slice them as I want them in the week for dinner. I would make 3 eggs max at a time and then peel and marinade them for 24 hours (I find it gets too salty if its any longer).

The hot broth to place the sliced pork and egg in, its how they do it in Japan. In Japan they would put a blow torch to the meat sometimes, at home you can fry it on the pan if you like, or just put cold meat into hot broth to warm it up.

So basically, the only cooking is making the broth (which is reheating), and make the noodles. Everything else like spring onions, egg, meat and nori are all already done.
