I've never heard of Tottenham cake before. Looked it up and definitely have had it before but never heard it been called that before.

They are ace! Lovely soft sponge and flavourful icing. Not every Gregg's sells them though. They're part of their "secret menu".
Tottenham Cake was originally sold for an old penny (or half a penny for a misshapen piece) by Quaker Henry Chalkley in 1901, in you guessed it: Tottenham!
