The **Now Eating** Thread

Raymond "Chopstick Ninja" Lin.
I legit caught a fly once with chopsticks....Karate Kid moment right there.

No cameras though.. the fly was a bit slow to be fair. Still counts!

But then I immediately realise what I had done....I can't eat with those chopsticks anymore!

Can you actually use chop sticks but? I reckon you got the knife and fork out after that photo :D
Hah, nope, I never use cutlery for chinese. Chopsticks 'expert' here. Well, probably not completely right technique and I'm sure Raymond would correct me if he saw me using them. Makes the experience much more enjoyable for me though. Being a drummer it comes fairly naturally, plus I can play paradiddles on the plate when I've finished eating. :D

Capable of reaching deep into boiling pots of water or oil, early chopsticks were used mainly for cooking. It wasn't until A.D. 400 that people began eating with the utensils. This happened when a population boom across China sapped resources and forced cooks to develop cost-saving habits.

Conclusion: They're just not necessary. Knife and fork is superior in every way. :D
I would love to be able to use chop sticks. Would take ages to eat the food but. Dropping it all over the place lol A spoon is a much more efficient utensil :D
